Portrait Of A Bee #2

This is my second portrait of another bee!
Having made the first portrait for my friend, another hiver asked for his portrait to be done as well.
Yeah it was gifted to him, and mind you I didn't charge him a penny though I was pulling his leg that he is gonna pay lol.
This is a way to brush up on my skills. Doing multiple sketches makes me get better with what I do cause it gives room for growth and improvement.

It took me two days to complete this sketch. I started with the outline the first day and then completed it the second day by filling colors, blending, and smoothening.
Below are the few steps I took.

I gifted the owner after sketching it, he was happy and he liked it.
He asked for his name to be written on the sketch. The hiver @obrisgold1 got his name written on the portrait and then I sent it to him.
He said the work was cool and he liked it.
Though I didn't have confidence about this but people who saw it confirmed the portrait looked like him without me even telling them who it was.
And this was a good feeling on its own. That people could tell who it was on the drawing without me even telling them. And this is what I am working towards, being able to sketch people such that they look like their original self
