Today Like No Other

I made it up today. Yes, it felt like my whole body couldn't take it anymore as at yesterday. I couldn't feel some part of me so all I did was lay in bed after taking medications.
I fought through the night with the pains, the headaches, fever, and everything that was happening to me.
I almost thought I wouldn't be able to get a hold of myself for some days but I guess I was wrong.

I took a few drugs and though I was not responding quickly to treatments I knew I just had to be strong to do a few tasks and chores.
Waking up this morning, I felt a little stronger and I could lift my body and move around. I was thankful because I already had a place in mind to go which I didn't wanna miss for any course.
So when I regained a little strength, I was so happy.

~ 9:50 am
I got a call from a schoolmate. She called to ask if I was going to school today and if I would be checking out a few things about a particular field of study. My divided mind wanted to tell her I wasn't gonna check it out even if I planned to go to school.
But for some reason, I told her I will be going with her to check it out after all.

After some minutes, she called again to confirm where I was and to know if I was close. Yes, I was already close to school so I told her I was when she put out that call. And together we went to check what we planned on checking out and I must confess, it was worth it.
We walked around the school premises until we found what we were searching for.

And you know what got my attention while we were in school?
I saw a group of students all dressed in black. At first, on a normal day, I would have questioned that appearance but immediately I saw them, I could tell that they were those students mourning for the lost souls of their fellow mates.

Yes a few days ago a tragic accident happened in my country and four of the corps students lost their lives on the spot on their way to serve.
It was fatal and very disheartening. Talk of wasted years in school with all the stress of school and everything, only for them to lose their lives on their way to service in another state.

According to news and information, the driver was sleepy and dozing since it was a night journey but the rest of the story is what I can't tell but all I know is that four students corps lost their lives at the spot, a very tragic one.

So the students I found today on black was mourning those lost lives. It is such a sad demise and we can only pray for their souls to find rest.

After such a long day in school. I still went to the field for a football match tournament. Remember some days ago I had been updating us about it but for some days now I haven't said anything about the match again and that's because my team didn't have a chance to play again not until today.

I must confess I was very impressed by their performance today and though we didn't win, we didn't lose either. It was a draw.
Their understanding and teamwork are what I admired and enjoyed today most in the football match.

This is what a team should look like. When there is understanding, everyone will work together with one mind and achieve something good.
I was very happy about today's match outcome. I give it to my team today🙂😉 they really did their best and I keep wishing them well.

So far, so good, I have had a good day. Though it began somehow, it ended well and that's all I am grateful about.
I would have continued ranting about my day and all, but I don't wanna bore you more than I have already.
I think I can stop there for today.
Did I mention that it's weekend? Oh yeah, it's that season of excitement.
