The holidays have become a sweet memory

My daughter made this gorgeous Yule Log cake for her brother for his December 30th birthday. It was so delicious!

It was beautifully decorated and rolled perfectly. The 'mushrooms' were meringue.

Everyone brought a few cookies to our Christmas party! Shortbread and gingerbread cookies seemed to be favorites.

One of my favorite gifts was the Ring smoke alarms and thermostat for the furnace that my son installed throughout my house. I am going to enjoy being able to access them through the app on my phone. Especially when I set off the smoke alarm while I am cooking and want to quickly shut it off!

Damn that Yule log looks unbelievable! I imagine it was incredible for sure. I totally thought those mushrooms were real mushrooms lol I love it.

We didn’t take many pictures but we did take a few of our h’ors duerves (spelling? Lol) that won’t upload just yet so I’ll edit this in a minute to fix that.

Rolling on into 2022 more comfort in knowing you have everything available at your finger tips, well done to you son on installing fire detectors in the home.

Celebrating a birthday with such a trendy cake I would be reluctant to cut through because it looks so good.

Looks really cool, made by a professional. Congratulate her for this beauty. I wanted to do one, but I didn't have time to do it but maybe one of these days I will make one. I have done really well doing food recipes post

That Yule Log looks awesome with it's little mushrooms.

The other snacks look delish as well.

I don't have Ring, but of course have heard of it. Had no idea they had a smoke alarm that could be controlled by it. That is interesting and such a wonderful present.

I'm unable to climb a step stool to remove the battery if my old alarms went off, so this will certainly save my ear drums!
