AskLEO + crypto Microblogging = Community Growth ???
Could AskLEO powered by crypto microblogging help us grow different communities on Hive?
In January of 2019, Contently, a content marketing platform that connects enterprise brands with freelance talent, surveyed over 1,000 people in the U.S. about their media and marketing preferences. What they uncovered about people’s preferred content length shattered a seemingly unbreakable convention that longer is always better: 75% of people prefer to read articles under 1,000 words.
One thing is for sure is most people like short content.
short content means more engagement.
Asking questions definitely will increase engagement by a significant factor.
Crypto is complicated for many and Hive is not there yet with user experiences of Web2 social media like Twitter and Facebook.
I can see many reasons why combining both AskLEO and Crypto Microblogging can help many different communities grow simultaneously. Also, my experiences with DtubeSnap and Seven77 Twitter challenge proved that most people will join when you keep things simple.
Imagine Micro Blogging enabled LeoFinace to become the new decentralized Crypto Twitter in a few years with a large userbase from India.
A couple of days ago, I created a post asking people to subscribe to Hive-India community with the intention of growing the Indian community on Hive with a long-term vision. I'm not in any rush and getting some feedback from our community and trying to bounce ideas back and forth.
I would love to hear your thoughts and feedback.
I'm grateful to be part of our crypto, Hive and LeoFinance community. Today is Day number 11 of my personal 365 days of writing challenge.

ProjectBLANK, a whole new micro blogging platform by leofinance was supposed to be the decentralised micro blogging platform, but it was somehow delayed, nevertheless, like you said, people like to engage with contents that directly poses a question. I'm still counting on projectblank, hopefully sooner than later. Qudos for trying to grow the Indian community, slowly it happens.
Trying to create a synergy between a few different communities on Hive and Hive Dapps (LeoFinance and 3Speak in particular) before I deep dive into execution.
This can boost projectblank launch too!

I have no doubts that some hive dapps will propel hive to some of the biggest breakthrough when it comes to adoption and more growth. Great to see how you're taking it steady and slow. There's a huge positive vibe on hive, I think we will build on this for something better.
My past experiences in Crypto have taught me one of the most valuable wisdom.
Slow growth is solid growth and solid growth lead to exponential growth.

We are, hopefully, a couple months away from #ProjectBlank. That should help to provide one of the tools required for what you describe.

This is good news and we can certainly try to boost the launch of #ProjectBlank with this idea.
I'm trying to collect many ideas around how to grow communities on Hive. Still in the Ideation phase...

Microblogging is the best way to get more people involved in. We know that #CryptoTwitter is such an active space and it's growing like wildfire.
And asking questions is the approach to connecting with people.

Many people prefer microblogging like Facebook and Twitter due to lack of time or busyness. Hopefully some hive dapps hive will lead to progress.
and many people love to engage as well

Yes it's not only about asking questions it's about sharing something, like a image or small content which can be helpful in many ways. So even of its small form content If it gives values, then surely it will increase the engagement and in turn increase community growth
Like you said it's not only about asking questions, it's about sharing something valuable and asking questions that can help everyone learn more about crypto and Hive.
We can steal ideas for questions from Twitter and add valuable context to them.

I heard about project #ProjectBlank. but it never come alive. Will askleo become like google or Yahoo answer. We will see a lots of engagements if we do it correctly. A lots of people still do not know about crypto.
Hive lets people learn and earn :)

Asking questions is the best way to get engagement so I agree it could be a good way to spur some commenting. I still think it's better to give some context before asking a question though.

This is a must! Questions should be genuine and help everyone to learn something from them.
Also, some people have good experience with certain aspects of crypto and they would love to share their experiences and knowledge.

Microblogging is the best way to get more people involved in.
Totally agree brother!

If you look at tik tok crypto community for example, if you keep things simple then more people feel less intimated to not join and more curious to find out more, that's how i feel the best way to make a crypto twitter. then you add in the natural ability to make crypto by simply posting this and you got them invested literally.
100% agree on this.

Hi! My opinion is very harsh! My original posts have been dovnoted. I run a photo microblog and on a second gaming account. How did I find out it is spam? There is no engagement here? Lots of good posts are downote. Of course, you don't need to vote for a post you don't like. Why are original posts without plagiarism banned? You give a lot of positive energy on twitter but how will there be a snowball that will talk negatively about hive? A microblog is needed! Peace✌️
Like the way you finished your comment with peace.
I personally never downvoted anyone's post on Hive and I can understand that it's really frustrating.
I had one big downvote a few weeks ago and I got a little upset then I learned that there was a reason for the downvote because that person wanted to remind me something regarding my witness node, at the same time there are few amazing people voluntarily help me out solve the situation regarding my witness node including the person who downvoted me.
So my little advice would be, don't take downvotes personally and seek an explanation and try to explain yourself. Still not resolved then we must figure out a different ways to avoid downvotes.
And let me assure you, people love to help. There are more good people than you think on Hive.

A Twitter-like App on Hive, like what Leofinance is working on could be a route of getting users flocking onto Hive if presented out there to the masses rightly.
The population over in India is a good idea to tap into and I think it's win for Hive having some of them already engaging on Hive.
Tap into countries like Nigeria, India, El Salvador, South America and this place will be Buzzing!
We should consider anything that gets users flocking onto Hive.
As you said, Indian communities' growth is a win-win situation for every other community and dapp on Hive.

Short content can definitely have value and a lot of people prefer it. I don't think we should exclude anything that will get more people active on Hive.
Meanwhile I see some people write comments that are longer than the original post. Succinctness can get your point across better sometimes. We all have to prioritise our time.
That's a healthy way to see things. Of course, we must not allow spam nor encourage people to create with little or no contribution to the community.
This is an example of greatly contributing community members.

Of course we don't want spam, but this is why we have to be careful how we use our votes and should downvote where necessary. We have to be vigilant as people will try to exploit the platform.
Long comments may be necessary sometimes, but it may be better to link to a post as few people are likely to see the comment and it may just be restating previous points.
Quality > quantity.
This is something I have to work on and I have never downvoted any post yet.
In creativity quantity leads to quality. The more ideas you generate, the bigger the chances are that you will stumble upon a brilliant idea.

If you had seen the abuse that goes on you might downvote it :) Hive is a precious thing and needs protecting from the selfish and greedy.
