What is actually the benefit of the passport?
I think almost $15 dollar for a passport (in ASH) is quite a lot.

Right now, absolutely nothing, but in future game updates, it is going to have something to do with governance. The people who own them will be able to set up guilds, participate in the local markets, and will lift withdrawal limits.
