#DanceWeekend - Christian Löffler

Hi,

for today's #DanceWeekend, the #tag brought by the #music man himself, namely @uwelang, we will go to the Baltic See shore in Germany. From the small town of Graal-Müritz, comes Christian Löffler.

Christian Löffler is a self-taught musician as in his secluded area there was no one whom he could learn from. Well, he managed it and his sound can be described as very intriguing and interesting.

He established also his own record label, named Ki.

His music has a melancholic sound with a euphoric touch. When we will expect another low in emotions, comes the uplifting sound that changes every bit of emotion.

I love his latest album, Parallels, which is a collaboration with Deutsche Grammophon, a label specialized in classic music.

Together with Google, Deutsche Grammophon launched The Shellac Project, where very old records are digitalized. Deutsche Grammophon has a massive archive with records that are over 100 years old.

In this project, they invited Christian to reinterpret some of this old records. The result is simply amazing!

One of the best songs on this album is the reinterpretation of a Johann Sebastian Bach one. Enjoy listening it!
