[ESP/ENG] Músicos en tiempo de confinamiento🎶😔 | Musicians in time of confinement

Hola amigos de hive, espero se encuentren super bien❤️. Hoy quiero compartir con ustedes lo que de manera general ha sucedido con la profesión “músico” en nuestro país Venezuela y además a nivel mundial según mi experiencia, por esto, hoy estaré contándoles como ha sido ese proceso laboral que anteriormente se ejecutaba de manera física totalmente pero que en la actualidad por motivo del confinamiento ha sido objeto de cambios, de desempleo y de mejoras ha nivel tecnológico.

Hello friends of hive, I hope you are doing great. Today I want to share with you what in general has happened with the profession "musician" in our country Venezuela and also worldwide according to my experience, for this reason, today I will be telling you how has been that labor process that previously was executed in a totally physical way but that at present because of the confinement has been subject to changes, unemployment and improvements has technological level.

Antes de la pandemia mi vida musical era bastante ajetreada ya que mi trabajo principal era ser instructora de la catedra de violines de un núcleo perteneciente al sistema de orquestas de Venezuela, por tanto, debía atender alrededor de 10 niños diarios en las instalaciones del núcleo musical. A veces era difícil ya que no podía ofrecer una atención personalizada que a veces en el ámbito musical es muy necesario, sin embargo, realizaba talleres grupales donde me centraba en trabajar un objetivo específico referente a la técnica del instrumento, objetivo que a pesar de todo me dió mucho resultado en el proceso educativo de todos mis alumnos.

Before the pandemic, my musical life was quite busy because my main job was to be an instructor of the violin class of a nucleus belonging to the Venezuelan orchestra system, therefore, I had to attend to about 10 children daily in the facilities of the musical nucleus. Sometimes it was difficult because I could not offer a personalized attention that sometimes in the musical field is very necessary, however, I conducted group workshops where I focused on working on a specific objective related to the technique of the instrument, an objective that despite everything gave me a lot of results in the educational process of all my students.

Ahora, ¿que pasó cuando decretaron el confinamiento?, todas las clases quedaron suspendidas y todos los instructores, personal administrativo y alumnado tuvo que quedarse en casa para evitar la propagación del virus, por tanto, tuvimos que implementar nuevos mecanismos de educación virtuales donde se le garantizara a la mayoría de los alumnos seguir recibiendo dichas clases para avanzar en el área musical. En mi caso cree un salón virtual donde diariamente doy tips a todos mis alumnos evaluándoles por medio de actividades musicales que puedan ejecutar sin problema.

Now, what happened when the confinement was decreed, all classes were suspended and all instructors, administrative staff and students had to stay at home to avoid the spread of the virus, therefore, we had to implement new mechanisms of virtual education where most of the students were guaranteed to continue receiving these classes to continue advancing in the musical area. In my case I created a virtual classroom where I give daily tips to all my students by evaluating them through musical activities that they can perform without any problem.

Por otro lado, conozco a otros compañeros musicales dedicados a la amenización de eventos que quedaron durante un año completo sin el sustento diario, por tanto, se vieron obligados a realizar otro tipo de trabajos para poder llevar comida diaria a sus respectivos hogares. Además de esto, se de músicos que arriesgaron su salud cruzando la frontera colombo-venezolana en busca de trabajo musical que finalmente resulto siendo para unos beneficioso y para otros la peor decisión ya que se expusieron sin medidas necesarias a este terrible virus.

On the other hand, I know other musical colleagues dedicated to the entertainment of events that were left for a full year without daily sustenance, therefore, they were forced to perform other types of work to bring daily food to their respective homes. In addition to this, I know of musicians who risked their health by crossing the Colombian-Venezuelan border in search of musical work that finally turned out to be beneficial for some and for others the worst decision since they were exposed without the necessary measures to this terrible virus.

En forma general se que todas las profesiones del mundo se han visto afectadas por esta situación, sin embargo, por ser músico activo he podido ver mas de cerca lo que atravesamos todos los trabajadores artísticos, por este motivo espero que este año que esta en transcurso este lleno de nuevas oportunidades para todos sobre todo en el ámbito digital para seguir laborando y percibiendo para nuestro sustento diario. Personalmente me he dado cuenta que si es posible seguir ejerciendo nuestra profesión musical utilizando las diversas plataformas tecnológicas ya que de esta manera estaremos contribuyendo al avance del proceso educativo y además cuidando la salud de todos los apasionados del arte.

In general I know that all professions in the world have been affected by this situation, however, being an active musician I have been able to see more closely what all artistic workers go through, for this reason I hope that this year that is in progress is full of new opportunities for everyone, especially in the digital field to continue working and earning for our daily sustenance. Personally I have realized that it is possible to continue exercising our musical profession using the various technological platforms because in this way we will be contributing to the advancement of the educational process and also taking care of the health of all art enthusiasts.

Se que esta situación ha hecho de nosotros personas mas precavidas, innovadoras y fuertes por este motivo, debemos tratar de mantenernos activos musicalmente desde casa ya sea dando clases online, subiendo contenido musical a las redes sociales, haciendo cursos en línea sobre música, practicando individualmente para mejorar nuestras habilidades o creando nuevas propuestas musicales que implementen la realización de conciertos virtuales con covers de canciones exitosas o inéditos.

I know that this situation has made us more cautious, innovative and strong people for this reason, we must try to stay active musically from home either by giving online classes, uploading musical content to social networks, doing online courses on music, practicing individually to improve our skills or creating new musical proposals that implement the realization of virtual concerts with covers of hit songs or unreleased.

Finalmente estoy felíz de mi profesión, de las oportunidades que cada artista puede obtener en base a su esfuerzo y preparación, por tanto, les invito a no desfallecer, a seguir intentando una y otra vez y sobre todo a seguir mostrando ese talento artístico en todas las redes sociales. Es mejor tener mil videos musicales, mil alumnos preparados, mil arreglos musicales listos para conseguir el éxito que empezar desde cero cuando al fin llegue la oportunidad. Espero que les haya gustado mi experiencia y solo queda invitarles a cumplir cada logro que se propongan recordando que nuestra vida es totalmente nuestra responsabilidad❤️.

Finally I am happy about my profession, about the opportunities that every artist can get based on their effort and preparation, therefore, I invite you not to lose heart, to keep trying again and again and above all to keep showing that artistic talent in all social networks. It is better to have a thousand music videos, a thousand students prepared, a thousand musical arrangements ready to achieve success than to start from scratch when the opportunity finally arrives.
