I must emphasize in each of the guides, that the most important thing will always be the author's experience. Each niche has its own information of interest to all lovers of that topic, but what makes the difference will be the personal experience of each one. In the case of photography it also applies.

Photography Publications

It is very common to see photography content on other social networks. Instagram was created mainly for that; where the photo is the protagonist and what is said about it is very short or unimportant. In HIVE we have a lot of space to express ourselves, in addition to layout tools such as HTML or Markdown code; take advantage of this and support your photographs with stories. Tell what you were feeling at that moment. What led you to take the photo or how was the technique.

It is true that there is a dapp on HIVE similar to Instagram called @dapplr, however it has not been very successful, as it seems that whales still prefer long blog content. That's why this post is based on what so far, has the most result in HIVE.

• Formatting
  Because of the way Hive.blog and Peakd.com are designed, the best layout for the photos is vertical, however in the mobile versions the photos are best viewed vertically.

• Themes
  Within the photography we have an infinite number of themes, such as: Landscape photography, portraits, erotic, advertising, food, urban, corporate, journalistic, wildlife, flora, frame, etc.. Each one will have its own techniques and will also provide us with the story with which we will accompany the photos.

A wildlife photographer will tell us about his experience in capturing photographs of animals. How long he waited; even if he used camouflage techniques to avoid being seen by the model. Likewise, a food photographer will explain the techniques for each shot and how to make up the dishes.

At HIVE, the behind the camera is vital and the curators love it. If you just post a photo, no matter how spectacular it is, it won't have the same impact as telling the story or showing unedited photos of the process. • Information
  Something that we photographers are interested in knowing, is the camera model and the parameters that were used such as ISO, aperture and speed. Although if the photos are taken with a phone it is also valid to know the model.

The time of day, if we are talking about photos with natural light, will be a good thing to know about the lighting.

Also some things like lenses, filters and accessories can add a lot of value.

If the light is artificial and spotlights were used, it is good to mention their configuration and the position in which they were placed, so that if someone falls in love with that lighting, they can repeat it. However, a good technique to increase participation in your publications is not to leave absolutely all the information in the post, so that people ask you in the comments and generate engagement.

In the information you can also mention the camera position angle, as well as the type of illumination.

• Editing
  With editing you can easily give more value to the post. Creating a quick tutorial on how the photos were edited is a great help. Here you can include the before and after. You show the original photo from the camera and then the editing that was done, it also demonstrates your skills with post production. You might even get clients who just want some retouching on their photos; something that can be done perfectly remotely.

Hola chicos; seguimos con las guías para la creación de contenido en nichos y esta vez, vamos con uno de los temas más populares que hay en HIVE; la Fotografía.

Debo resaltar en cada una de las guías, que siempre lo más importante será la experiencia del autor. Cada nicho tiene su propia información de interés para todos los amantes de ese tema, pero lo que marca la diferencia será esa experiencia personal de cada uno. En el caso de la fotografía también se aplica.

Publicaciones de Fotografía

Es muy común ver contenido de fotografía en otras redes sociales. Instagram se creó principalmente para eso; donde la foto es protagonista y lo que se dice de ella es muy corto o no tiene importancia. En HIVE tenemos mucho espacio para expresarnos, además de herramientas de maquetado como código HTML o Markdown; aprovecha esto y apoya a tus fotografías con historias. Cuenta lo que sentías en ese momento. Qué te llevó a tomar la foto o cómo fue la técnica.

Yo particularmente acostumbro a colocar dos fotos verticales en tabla, ya que solas, hay que realizar scroll para verlas completas. A continuación un ejemplo...

Para la portada es importantísimo tener esto en cuenta, ya que la miniatura podría cortar zonas con información si la tiene formato vertical. Lo mejor en este caso es incluirla dentro de una imagen horizontal, como muestro a continuación:

Fotos apaisadas quedan muy bien, sobre todo si son de paisajes...

• Temas
  Dentro de la fotografía tenemos infinidad de temas, como por ejemplo: Fotografía de paisajes, retratos, eróticas, publicitarias, de alimentos, urbanas, corporativas, periodística, fauna, flora, marco, etc. Cada una tendrá sus propias técnicas y también nos facilitarán el relato con el que acompañaremos las fotos.

Un fotógrafo de fauna, contará su experiencia para capturar las fotografías de los animales. Cuánto tiempo esperó; incluso si usó técnicas de camuflaje para no ser visto por el modelo. Igualmente un fotógrafo de alimentos, nos explicará las técnicas para cada toma y cómo maquillar los platos.

En HIVE, el tras cámara es vital y a los curadores les encanta. Si solo colocas una foto, por más espectacular que sea, no tendrá el mismo impacto a contar su historia o mostras fotos sin editar del proceso. • Información
  Algo que a los fotógrafos nos interesa conocer, es el modelo de la cámara y los parámetros que se usaron como ISO, diafragma y velocidad. Aunque si las fotos son tomadas con un teléfono también es válido conocer el modelo.

La hora del día, si hablamos de fotos con luz natural, será un buen dato para conocer con respecto a la iluminación.

También algunas cosas como lentes, filtros y accesorios, pueden añadir mucho valor.

Si la luz es artificial y se usaron focos, es bueno mencionar la configuración de los mismos y la posición en la que fueron colocados; ya que si alguien se enamora de esa iluminación la pueda repetir. Sin embargo una buena técnica para aumentar la participación en tus publicaciones, es no dejar absolutamente toda la información en el post, para que te pregunten en los comentarios y generar engagement.

En la infromación también puedes mencionar el ángulo de posición de la cámara, además del tipo de iluminación.

• Edición
  Con la edición se puede dar más valor al post facilmente. Crear un tutorial rápido de cómo fueron editadas las fotos, aporta muchísimo. Aquí se puede incluir el antes y después. Mostras la foto original de la cámara y después la edición que se hizo, también demuestra tus habilidades con la post producción. Incluso podrías conseguir clientes que solo quieran algunos retoques en sus fotos; algo que se puede hacer perfctamente de forma remota.
