Sometimes, very sometimes ...

... you can be really satisfied with a result.
When editing a photo you always have an idea of what the end result should look like, but that does not always work.

Sometimes it just doesn't work out, or you decide to go in a different direction while editing, or sometimes you get the right result ... but for some reason the photo doesn't look "finished".

And very occasionally you get a result that is even better than what you expected. Those are the rare cases ... for me anyway 😁

And this is one of them. Of course, the subject and framing are interesting here. And I had already posted this photo once but with an "urbex" style editing ... to which I got many positive comments.

So I didn't have to worry on the subject ... but what if I did a color splash edit on this? The basic idea was to keep only the orange tones and from there ... well, we would see.
And here is the end result. And yes, for once I'll say it myself: what a great photo!

The nice thing about it is that you don't get the feeling that it is a color splash. You just think you are looking at a dark & gray interior ... while that is not the reality at all. In reality the walls were white and yellow ...

Yes, I am really satisfied with this result and of course I hope you too 😉
