Reporting for duty

I've been trying to come up with a format for my Rising Star posts, because Rising Stars is a relatively simple game, so it's hard to keep talking about it every day. In the end, I decided to mix a report card with a giveaway and be done with it. Maybe sometimes express my opinion about something, but that's going to be rare enough. Just thought I'd let you guys know the reason for the absence of my posts lately.

These won't get a #proofofbrain tag of course.

In Rising Stars, my current goal is becoming a millionaire so I can unlock the respective Millionaire Quest to earn 10k+ starbits a day.

Daily missions: I am focusing on music lessons non-stop. At least thrice a day are complete and that should suffice, but aiming for 5+ would be great. Because meeting my goal is better sooner than later. Daily experience being earned: 360~600. Today I got 480 XP. Current level: 38.

Earnings: I am not earning any STARBITS as I focus on getting to level 46 through nothing but music lessons. Despite the fact that I am earning ~$1+ every post through blogging, it mostly evens out since I'm giving away a card in each of them. Starbits to goal: 18,722 / 1,000,000.

Giveaway/post goals: 1 out of 5 for the remaining of this month.

Great work but why the focus on music lessons not starbits?

I'm newish to the game. Why music lessons? I'm intrigued. I'm just doing missions without much of a plan. Just doing the highest I can do with the number of fans I have.

ego caps how many starbits you can earn through missions. you need more skill than fans to stop this. music lessons give you skill, missions and fans give you ego. this only happens if you have over 1k fans or if you're at least level 15

kind of tough to get my head around. I'm on level 32 but average around 200 fans. Mostly found fans. I average about 10% ego a day.

So should I run mostly lessons or just do regular missions? Does my level of ego effect my possible starbits that much??

I'd love to master a strategy. I want that million starbits too. I have have 36,000 starbits but spent 5300 on the mid range accoustic guitar to get to Local Gig Circuit. But I don't have enough fans to do missions there lol

if you keep your skill above your ego then you're fine. that's all there is to it really
you can get instrument cards of a specific music lesson to stack up skill more easily

Ok, I get it now. I didn't see my total ego when I hovered over ego on the dashboard. I needed to scroll down. Now I will be able to see how many lessons I need.

I'll do lessons based on how much battery life I have. I usually do missions as soon as I get back to 15% if I don't have pizza. I am impatient and hate waiting until it gets up to 40% but now I see the benefit.
