My 14 day Update - some 135 Hours of Play later - @risingstar

Hi folks, Its time for an update

I have been playing #risingstar for 14 days now, I gave a daily update for the first 7 days which showed incredible progress and promised I would stop the daily’s and write a weekly progress from now on

So here we are

After 14 days of playing @e=risingstar I can safely say I am as addicted as ever. and make sure that the game is always open in the background so that I can jump to it in between other work that I am doing.

I have also discovered some great new areas of game play and also stocked up on some game cards so that I can traver4se my way to the top with greater ease.

I can also say that the crew on the Discord Channel is very supportive and very friendly, offering some great tips as well as having a great space to engage with other players, so if you are already playing the game and not linked into the Discord group then what are you waiting for

The game has been experiencing some tweaks and tunings that are necessary for the impending Beta Launch and the team behind the scenes has been doing a fantastic job of improving game play and genrally embracing suggestions that players have to offer. There is a real sense that the Developers are there for the players and bounce ideas and look for suggestions from the players. This is a great connectivity that is often very rare in game play.

So without going on too much, where am I at after 14 days,

• I am currently now at level 23 which is a massive jump of 9 Levels since my last report – Levelling has slowed down over the last 7 days as the missions are tougher to reach and, lets face it, that’s how game play should be, the higher you get the harder it is to get to the next level – Still 9 levels in 7 days is massive and I now only expect t increase my level by 1 a day over the next week
• I currently have 557 Fans, 491 from cards and 66 drunk Fans, it is still a balance between Fans and Skill to keep the Ego down, I have purchased some Whisky Bottles to store some drunk fans for a time when I may need a Fan boost, however for the time being I am keeping my fan base low so that my ego doesn’t get too high
• My Skill level is now at 972 which is an increase of 595 since the last report 7 days ago, I have been undertaking numerous singing and guitar lessons, (these are the only ones available at my level), to increase my skill, This is something everyone should be doing
• My Luck level has also increased to 360 from 260 which is an increase of 100 Luck points, Luck comes in handy especially when busking ort taking part in Battle of the Band
• My IM is 29, up from 21 , IM comes into play later in the game, IM stands for Income Modifier, I am yet unsure what part this plays but no doubt I will reach a po9int when it becomes apparent.
• I know have 30,443 Starbits which is up 21,188 since 7 days ago, Starbits is the in game currency and can be used to purchase cards
• I have undertaken 272 missions in total which is an increase of 130 in 7 days. This is not bad considering I have been doing some missions that take 3 hours to do, in fact to get to the next area of game play you have to do 5 3 hour mission, a total of 15 hours all up.
  

Total Game Time since playing the game, well Total Mission time has been 135 hours and 55 minutes

Now I don’t know about you but that’s some pretty serious game time

I have made it to the 2nd lot of missions on the ‘Local Gig Circuit’ but can only undertake the Radio interview at my current level, need to be level 25 to do the radio Studio Session

I have also discovered in the Mini Games, two active games, one is the Jet, where you need to navigate the jet through gaps in walls, I haven’t got the hang of this and don’t manage to get above 3 or 4 but some do really well so it’s a bit of coordination required

Then there is the Battle of the Band, each battle costs you 5 health points and you get pitted against an opponent for a win or loss, I am not sure yet what , if any, prizes are awarded for this mini game, there is a notice that there will be some award, possibly still in development

I can say though that I am still hooked and want to get to the top, and that in itself is enough of a challenge to keep me engaged.

It is not often that I would play a game for this long or even write Blog Posts about it, but this one has me reeled in
