Take Your Time -Dont Let the Ego get the better of you - @risingstar

This game is extremely well thought out and very very addictive, just ask the many who play

When you are starting out as a musician one of the things you hope to get is fans, Fans are good because Fans means that you will have more people watching you and the potential to ear gets higher.

This is the case in @risingstar and in the early days Fans are good, although most fans come from the late night drunks staggering home.

Fans are good I thought, so I, in my newbie wisdom, went out and brought some cards that had good fans. That was great, I had a good following and was earning ok,

Then I realised that what I needed to do was build up my skill, because once I got over 1000 fans an Ego meter appeared and the higher the ego the less you earn for each mission,

The only way to offset this is to build up your skill level and always make sure your skill level is higher than your fan base, so then I looked at ways to improve my skill.

I went in too deep too quick and pulled myself back a bit (I will discuss some ways to do this in another post)

Needless to say, I had to reduce my Fan Base by a lot and then work on building my skill level up.

I was fortunate to win a card that gave me a skill of 100 and so I balanced my fan base and skill level for a while

When you reach level 2 you will have the open mic night mission open to you and you will need 25 fans to be able to do this mission.

This means that you may need to buy some fans, or hope for the drunks to appear from doing the busking mission.

It is at this point that you start to look at what you will need to progress even further

Each level requires more and more fans.

Mid week support slot requires 100 fans, and for you to be at level 5
For me I was able to achieve level 5 by the end of day 1

But like I said I purchased some Fan Cards and this helped me

You can however get to this level without purchasing cards; just keep doing the first mission until you have suddenly got some Drunken fans to enable you to do the next etc.

The cards you receive after completing 100,110,120 and 130 missions are designed to help newbie’s progress through the levels and missions, they are random but they will help you progress.
You can check your mission level by visiting the achievments page

When you have reached Level 10 you are able to undertake Music Lessons and this is a great way to start building your skill level up. It is worth doing at least one lesson a day. But we get ahead of ourselves here.

We are still only doing our basic missions of Busking and open Mic.

Do these as often as you can during the day and you will see your level rise quite quickly, acvhieev the 100,110,120 and 130 missions and you will get extra cards.

Take your time; take in what the game has to offer because it has a lot to offer and is being value added to every day.
