Don't Underestimate Yourself .:. Story Time with ph1102

(Edited)

It looks that I have a lot of these stories that I want to share with you guys and girls, as it didn't pass more than a couple of days from my last video from this series... Today, I'm sharing just a short story from my "teenage days" that has left mark on myself for different reasons...

But, I will make a small spoiler if you didn't watch the video already... The story that happened when I was young, was just a trigger for some other thoughts that have run to my brain when I was preparing myself to record the video... Also, in the creation process, I got some other ideas that I didn't plan to say, but they did... I suppose that that's the part of the creation process... You don't know exactly how will your creation look until you finish it...

I don't want to spoil more of the video, so please take a look at it... I hope that you will find value in it and maybe even implement some of those things in your life...

Thank you for your valuable time,

~ph~

We see someone is smart and talented, we think she/he will do something bigger. But we forget what that person really wants to do. What makes her/him happy? Whatever you do in life, if you are happy, that's all that matters.

I love your story, you know. :)

Yeah... I know that now... I didn't think about that before... But, anyways, sometimes it looks like a "wasted valuable material"... I don't mean exactly on my example from the video, but in general...

Thanks for watching!

This is a very interesting vlog. I think that when getting older we tend to loose this capacity of doing stuff that seems difficult or challenging. We underestimate our capacities and prefer to stay within our comfort zone. What you are doing with your comments is actually giving people a real feed-back and an encouragement to continue on their path. Self-confidence is the first step to gain and this will help to get out of the confort zone and to achieve something new. This is the key to evolve and to innovate.

I agree with getting older, but I don't count that as a factor that we can't override... :) But, people are different, that's a fact...

And real feedback is a must... I would say that we should have people in EVERY community that is doing that regularly... In that way, people would feel more welcomed and motivated to stay and create...

ANd I don't mean on lame messages like "welcome", "hi" and similar that we are seeing on Discord and Telegram... :)

Love this story....Story Time with ph1102 is always enlightening :)

Yes, I think a lot of people underestimate themselves unfortunately. I think we all have the tendency to do that sometimes in some point of our lives. It's human nature. We are conditioned to "keep up with the Jonese" and even if we dare to do something out of the box, we risk being judged or even ridiculed in some cases....it isn't easy...

However, when we give in to those factors, we really are missing out on the potential we have..when we don't tap into it, we rob the world (and ourselves) of the gifts we can provide & the value we can add to others...it's an interesting paradigm, because when we discover how powerful we really are (regardless of what form it is), we let go of the limitations we tend to put on ourselves...

It really comes down to what brings you joy & what inspires you....and not caring what the hell other people think. Just be authentic, believe & be you completely. :)

Thanks, Zoltan. You got me thinking again..thanks for your awesome content & for being you. :) 💚

Yeah... I agree, the big "no-no" factor is very often... "what will others say if I do that?"... or, as you said, a fear to be ridiculed ...

There is no easy solution or easy button for that... If all those great people were thinking what will other said, we would still live in the cave... :)

Thanks for your support! Appreciate it!

Great Vlog Zoltan @ph1102 we often underestimate our own abilities or even expect people to aim for more, a lot of it depends on the influences around us and often we can want more than people want for themselves.

I have told each of my children to decide based on their passions rather than what others want or expect from them at the end of the day, because they are the ones that have to live with the descisions they make, not me, my wife or anyone else.

We give them our advice when they want it, support them when they need it, and encourage them to have the confidence to explore their passions as well as new things.

You will never know if you like something, are good at something or want it to be what you do unless you have a go and sometimes we can discover new passions from exploring and learning new things.

Give it a go, give it a chance and believe in yourself, often we will surprise ourselves in the abilities we can achieve.

This is wise advice from you to your children... And every parent is probably aware of how hard is to do to than... Especially when children are in the teenage period and do some weird crazy stuff... :)

But, as hard as it is, it is important that they (we) are aware that decision is on them (us), and they will have to live with that... Actually, that's a very powerful message, that people usually don't see...

Maybe it is sometimes hard to make some decision, but NOT making it knows to be much harder later in the future... Missed opportunities costs more than a mistake or failure...

Thanks for the comment and for a food for brain...
