MARKET FRIDAY || DREEMPORT CHALLENGE - WEEK 2

Greetings everyone..
This is my first participation in the dreemport challenge and I am so happy to get involved with this awesome June challenge, hehe.

I tried so hard to participate last week after exploring our local market but didn't meet up with the time. On seeing this week's challenge, I was like wow, scavenger hunt? Gosh!!! Somebody should whisper to @dreemsteem that this is not for me, 🤩🤩🤩. I nearly gave up but here we are, hehe. I have been gazing at the question but c'mon gal, you can handle this👇👇👇, easy peasy? Noooooo!!!!!

SOMETHING BUBBLY

I was exploring the store and found this set of fruits so captivating. The manner of the arrangement, and the different colors are just so unique and that caught my attention. While preparing for this market, I already made a mental list of the few things I needed, of course, fruits weren't among them but then, its bubbly nature attracted me to get some red apples especially when I remember the amount of fiber it will give my body🤩. I loved every royal bite of the apple. I would have been okay without it today but no, I have to quench some urgent cravings ..hahaha.

SOMETHING PRICKLY

This particular hunt was something else, lolz. I couldn't find it in the store and so I had to move to the local market for the search. Finally, I found this; this is dried cocoa yam. Coco yam is one of our native food that can be eaten in different ways. Some harvest it so fresh and turn it into a swallow. Some use it for thickener in preparing soup while the dried one like this is used to prepare a local food called Achicha. Don't know if Achicha has an English name though, but many people in the part of my country Nigeria love the local food because it's being prepared with local beans and with plenty of nutritious ingredients that will almost make it be seen as balanced diet food.

SOMETHING THAT SMELLS NICE
WOW, how I love good-smelling stuff🤩🤩. It's good, it's refreshing and it's pleasant! Exploring the store, I got to this section of cosmetics and so many good-smelling products were literally glaring at me to shop them. But no, I needed one thing from this section considering my pocket 🤩.

Finally, I saw this perfume, it's been a while a good friend of mine has been recommending it for me but I was reluctant about getting it, now seeing it on this store..I sprayed it sooooo....gentle on my cloth and the scent was wowww🥰🥰🥰

Oh my God! This perfume smells so nice. No wonder the recommendation, I said to myself, lolz. I couldn't help but buy it immediately! In fact, while I was on the bus I boarded to go home, one lady asked me the name of the perfume I wore, hahaha. I boldly told her it's SMART PERFUME with the code 332. I noticed the perfume have different code number with different smell and this particular one is just superb 👍. It's been hours since I came back from the market and it still smells soooo.... fresh! Why not try it too, trust me, you will love it🤩🥰.

SOMETHING THAT IS CALLING MY NAME TO BUY IT

At the time I was engaged on this hunt, this gal here was dehydrated, lol, maybe due to the prickly hunt that dealt with me before I got one, hehe. On seeing this eye-catching chilled PARFAIT YOGHURT in the freezer at the store, oh!!! , that was the right product and very healthy to keep me hydrated. I couldn't take my eyes off it, it was calling my name, Nkem, Nkem, Nkem non-stop for me to buy it, 🤩🤩🤩 and boom I grabbed one. The store attendant jokingly said, "babe, one of these cost $3, why not take many" lol. I bought just for myself and my kids and immediately after I got home, I devoured the parfait,hehehe.

It was so chilled to calm my system and I enjoyed every sip of it.

So that was all about my scavenger hunt today! It was fuuuunnnnnnn!!!!! And I enjoyed it. @dswigle, thank you so much for this your amazing community where we share our markets with people around the world.

How fun was this? Welcome to #MarketFriday and I am so glad to let you in the door! I have been having so much fun with all of the @dreemport people, they are so fun and energetic! It is clearly an enjoyable experience for all that I have seen from there.

I like how you were thinking outside the box with your scavenger hunt! I would never have guessed in the direction you went (except for the perfume!) so that was top-notch! I have enjoyed your writing you truly are a fun person who takes on these challenges! I intended to look at the link, but, the link didn't work. You might want to check it. Thank you again!

Thank you for being a part of #MarketFriday! I cannot tell you how pleased I am to see so many participating every week. I have learned so much about the different cultures of the world, especially the small things that go unnoticed except by those looking for them. Life is interesting, wherever you are, whatever you are doing. I hope the week has found you healthy and happy, as we all look to prosper in our way of life.

#MarketFriday began as a way to reach out across the globe and learn about different cultures through their markets, especially local markets and farmers' markets, and eventually branched out and evolved over time from straight shopping to a cultural affair as it highlights how we differ and then again, how much we are alike. We have become a melting pot of culture, but, it is still the Rituals, Festivals, food, architecture, and even your language/languages that separate us... Along with the fact that is these things are normal for us. There are unwritten rules that rule our social behaviors. I see this as allowing for increased tolerance between cultures and nations, and opportunities to come together on an even playing ground. A strong culture can be beneficial to a country as it promotes unity, especially during a crisis, peaceful debate, and open dialogue. I have learned so much about all of you and it has been an amazing experience. I can only hope that learning about each other can help us work together for a peaceful world.
