Oreo y Sansa son mis mascotas, Oreo es una cobaya y Sansa es una perra, dos animalitos que me acompañan y hacen mi vida mas feliz, una compañía muy bonita en todo sentido, y hoy vengo a hablarles de ellas, de sus historias y de como han influido en mi vida, estas son mis amigas: Oreo y Sansa.
Oreo and Sansa are my pets, Oreo is a guinea pig and Sansa is a dog, two little animals that accompany me and make my life happier, a very nice company in every way, and today I come to tell you about them, their stories and how they have influenced my life, these are my friends: Oreo and Sansa.
Oreo, es una cobaya que adopte el 15 del pasado mes de abril, lleva poco mas de un mes junto a mi, es un animal muy bonito y cariñoso a pesar de que todavía no me tiene total confianza, es muy asustadiza por naturaleza aunque bastante malcriada. Sansa es una perrita mestiza que lleva conmigo desde el año 2017, ha sido mi mejor amiga desde entonces, es muy cariñosa, celosa, sobreprotectora y muy tranquila.
Oreo, is a guinea pig that I adopted last April 15, she has been with me for a little over a month, she is a very cute and affectionate animal even though she still doesn't trust me completely, she is very skittish by nature but quite spoiled. Sansa is a mongrel dog that has been with me since october of 2017, since that she has been my best friend since then, she is very affectionate, jealous, overprotective and very calm.
Oreo tiene ese nombre por los colores de su pelo, blanco y negro, y también porque es muy dulce, como esas galletas, se me ocurrió llamarla así porque me parecía gracioso y al final la idea termino quedándose como decisión, a estas alturas ya reconoce su nombre, es muy inteligente, con Sansa, sucede que en el año que la adopte, tenia adicción terrible a Game of Thrones, y mi personaje favorito era Sansa Stark, tomando en cuenta que mi perrita era hembra, decidí ponerle ese nombre, pensé en llamarla Lady, como el lobo huargo de Sansa en la serie, pero me pareció demasiado ''normal'' y por eso no me gustaba, ella también es muy inteligente y ademas, un poco manipuladora, algo que también pasa con Oreo, en menos de un mes conmigo ya reconocía algunas ordenes y su propio nombre.
Oreo has that name because of the colors of her fur, black and white, and also because she is very sweet, like those cookies, it occurred to me to call her that way because it seemed funny and in the end the idea ended up staying as a decision, by now she already recognizes her name, she is very smart, with Sansa, it happens that in the year I adopted her, I had a terrible addiction to Game of Thrones, and my favorite character was Sansa Stark, I had a terrible addiction to Game of Thrones, and my favorite character was Sansa Stark, taking into account that my dog was a female, I decided to give her that name, I thought about calling her Lady, like Sansa's direwolf in the series, but it seemed too ''normal'' and that's why I didn't like it, she is also very intelligent, in less than a month with me she already recognized her own name.
Oreo tiene dos pequeñas manías, la primera es lamerte cuando tiene sed y cuando tiene hambre, te da pequeños mordiscos en los dedos, Sansa no es muy amigable con otros animales pero Oreo siempre busca interactuar con ella y en mas de una ocasión le ha mordido su cola o sus patitas, es bastante cómico ver la reacción de Sansa cuando eso ocurre, los primeros días juntas fueron bastante preocupantes para mi porque tenia miedo de que se lastimaran entre si, pero la verdad es que se respetan una a la otra y Oreo sigue buscándola para tratar de jugar con ella, quizás un día lo hagan.
Oreo has two little hobbies, the first one is to lick you when she is thirsty and when she is hungry, she gives you little bites on your fingers, Sansa is not very friendly with other animals but Oreo is always looking to interact with her and on more than one occasion she has bitten her tail or her paws, It is quite funny to see Sansa's reaction when that happens, the first days together were quite worrying for me because I was afraid that they would hurt each other, but the truth is that they respect each other and Oreo keeps looking for her to try to play with her but she doesn't want to, maybe one day they will do it.
Con Oreo me sucedió algo muy gracioso y es que leí en internet que estos animales aman las espinacas y fui a comprarle, le di a probar y ni siquiera la toco, termine comiendo espinacas por una semana, menos mal que no me desagradan o hubiese sido un desperdicio total, otra cosa muy graciosa es que a veces, empieza a dar muchos saltos mientras corre por mi habitación, a ciertas horas del día se pone bastante juguetona, lo mismo con Sansa, que aunque ya es adulta es bastante mimada, con ella me sucede todo el tiempo que espera a que me duerma para subirse a mi cama y dormir conmigo, ya estoy casi acostumbrado a que si despierto en la madrugada o me muevo, ella sale corriendo porque piensa que yo no me voy a dar cuenta, las dos me encantan.
With Oreo something very funny happened to me, I read on the internet that these animals love spinach and I went to buy it, I gave her a taste and she didn't even touch it, I ended up eating spinach for a week, thank goodness I don't dislike it or it would have been a total waste, another funny thing is that sometimes she starts jumping a lot while running around my room, at certain times of the day she gets quite playful, the same with Sansa, although she is already an adult she is quite spoiled, with her it happens to me all the time that she waits for me to fall asleep to get on my bed and sleep with me, I am almost used to that if I wake up in the early morning or I move, she runs away because she thinks I will not notice, They are such sweethearts and I love them both.
Algo que tienen en común es que son muy glotonas, Oreo literalmente puede estar comiendo todo el día, pero su alimentación es totalmente herbívora así que supongo que es bueno que siempre este comiendo, solo come frutas, verduras y heno, el pimentón rojo es su comida favorita, también el tomate, la naranja y la berenjena, y el heno, come muchísimo heno, mas que como alimento también lo utilizan para limar sus dientes, que como todo roedor, están en constante crecimiento y por ello sienten esa necesidad de masticar cosas, ha ido creciendo muchísimo, cuando la traje a mi casa pesaba solo cien gramos y media doce centímetros, y ya pesa y mide mas del doble, todas las mañanas alrededor de las seis me despierta con su bonito chillido, para que le de comida y agua. Sansa por otra parte ama el pollo y la carne, son sus comidas favoritas e intento darle siempre que puedo, junto con su alimento procesado, una anécdota un poco extraña es que le gusta el agua fría, no la natural, y no tengo idea de por qué.
Something they have in common is that they are very greedy, Oreo literally can be eating all day long, but her diet is totally herbivorous so I guess it is good that she is always eating, she only eats fruits, vegetables and hay, red pepper is her favorite food, also tomato, orange and eggplant, and hay, she eats a lot of hay, more than as food they also use it to file their teeth, which like all rodents, are constantly growing and therefore feel the need to chew things, has been growing a lot, when I brought her to my house weighed only one hundred grams and half twelve centimeters, and now weighs and measures more than twice of that, every morning around six o'clock wakes me up with her pretty squeak, so that I give her atention, affection, food and water. Sansa on the other hand loves chicken and beef mixed with rice or pasta, they are her favorite foods and I try to give her whenever I can, along with her processed food, a little strange anecdote is that she likes cold water, not natural, and I have no idea why.
Estas dos chicas han sido un gran soporte para mi desde que están conmigo, Sansa esta muy ligada a mi, ella sabe cuando mi animo esta bien o mal e intenta siempre interferir para ayudar, Oreo tiene mas curiosidad que otra cosa, pero también es muy interactiva, ademas Sansa también tiene un vinculo muy fuerte con mis padres porque ellos la cuidaron alrededor de dos años cuando yo migré a Ecuador, ella respeta muchísimo a mi mama y la tiene como su figura total de autoridad, conmigo es un poco mas en plan compañeros, me refiero a que a veces no me hace caso del todo, pero en general es muy obediente, con Oreo, sigo trabajando en ello. En cuanto a sus cuidados son bastante básicos, a Oreo la mantengo suelta en mi casa siempre excepto cuando la alimento, pues suele esconderse en sitios oscuros para hacer sus necesidades y aunque son inodoras, dan bastante mal aspecto así que le tengo un sitio de comida y otro donde hace sus necesidades, para luego estar libre explorando la casa o jugando, Sansa ya esta acostumbrada a estar aquí, la sacamos a pasear y hacer sus necesidades dos veces al día, de resto no hay mas que hacer que alimentarlas y darles mucho amor. Ahora, con la noticia de que voy a tener un hijo junto a @vvgm estoy a la expectativa de como va a reaccionar Sansa, que jamas ha estado cerca de un bebe, de verdad espero que se hagan muy buenos amigos, por que Sansa es muy cariñosa.
These two girls have been a great support for me since they have been with me, especially Sansa, who has been with me for the longest time. Sansa is very close to me, she knows when my mood is good or bad and always tries to interfere to help, Oreo is more curious than anything else, but she is also very interactive, Sansa also has a very strong bond with my parents because they took care of her for about two years when I migrated to Ecuador, she respects my mom a lot and has her as her total authority figure, with me she is a little bit more like a companion, I mean sometimes she doesn't pay attention to me at all, but in general she is very obedient, with Oreo, I am still working on it. As for her care, it is quite basic, I always keep Oreo loose in my house except when I feed her, because she usually hides in dark places to do her needs and although they are odorless, they look pretty bad so I have a place for her to eat and another one where she does her needs, and then she is free exploring the house or playing, a curious fact, their feces serve as a very good fertilizer for plants. Sansa is already used to be here, we take her for a walk and do her needs twice a day, otherwise there is nothing else to do but feed her and give her a lot of love. Now, with the news that I'm going to have a baby with @vvgm I'm waiting to see how Sansa, who has never been near a baby, will react, I really hope they become good friends, because Sansa is very affectionate.
Para terminar, quiero compartirles los Bloopers de esta pequeña sesión de fotos que les hice para este post, fue bastante difícil lograr tomarle las fotos porque son muy inquietas, especialmente Oreo, intente fotografiarlas juntas pero fue imposible, a Sansa no le gusta estar cerca de ella, muchas gracias por leer mi post, espero que les haya gustado, un saludo muy cordial a todos.
