Good day guys!

Finally, this was the day that I had been waiting for, my day off. Today, I slept at around 4am but I didn't have to wake up early. As soon as I woke up, we had no electricity. I thought we won't have electricity for the whole day but it came back after 30 minutes. I saw our cat Yoda on a table where he usually doesn't go to lying so comfortably. He just looked like a Meowdel here.

When I looked at the couch, our dog was there, I tried taking photos of him but he was giving me some derpy looks. Maybe it's because he still feels guilty from what he did to my room yesterday which was peeing and pooping.

I went back inside my room and my brother was inside. He was rehousing one of his tarantulas because he wanted to put it in a clearer case. The first thing that he did was to put the enclosure on the white tub just in case it will try to bolt out.

He then got his catch cup and a paintbrush. He brushed the tarantula inside the catch cup and immediately covered it.

Here comes the messy part, he then adds the substrate inside the new enclosure. I think he uses coco peat. He also added some branches for its hiding spot.

He added moss on top of it.

And lastly, he moistened it and added a small cup for its source of water.

He chose to put it here because the lid was clear, unlike the first enclosure which wasn't transparent.

Here's how the enclosure looks like without its lid. That's the finished product of his rehousing. This tarantula is called a Lasiodora parahybana, also known as Brazilian salmon pink bird-eating tarantula. His sling is around 2 inches already.

I was inspired by my brother so I decided to check on some of my cockroach colonies. This is my blatta lateralis cockroaches also known as Turkestan roaches. When I was cleaning it, I noticed that there were a lot that died. I think it's because of cannibalism. To be honest, I don't like their smell that much especially the adults.

I only keep these cockroaches because the nymphs have the perfect size to feed my brother's spiderlings. The advantage of feeding these cockroaches is that they are active and move a lot which would trigger the feeding response of the spiders. They actually populate fast and they drop an ootheca or an egg case. I used to sort them out once a week but now I got lazy.

I also checked his M. Balfouri communal setup. I just love how the web castle looks so cool

They are also bolty.

I went out for a while and it was a cloudy and windy day today, it was also colder than usual.

I went back to the garden of my grandma looking for sayote for my colonies. We even brought a scythe-like object to cut some down if it was too high. But we didn't use it. I noticed that there was a newly dropped one on the ground so I just took that. I then left the sayote in water first.

While waiting I heard our dog growling and my sister shout look who came to visit. I was curious who/ what was it and it was our cousins' dogs.

They were just running around our front door.

This one is a toy poodle, whenever my mom goes and help my grandparents. This poodle just goes to her and always asks to get pet.

The other one is a corgi, she's still a month old. She's the daughter of the corgi that bit my brother's leg. It just felt so good to pet that dog. The fur was so soft.

When my sister put Pierre in front of them, he was soo angry and agitated. Maybe it's because he's territorial and they are in his territory. For some reason, he's not friendly with other dogs.

But when they are together with our cat, they are best friends.

I was using my computer and this little fellow jumped up the table, I was just petting him and he liked it.

Before leaving the house to meet my girlfriend. Yoda was on top of our clothes. The photo below looks like him questioning me why am I taking a photo of him again?

When I got to their place it was really gloomy. I was really tired so I just slept most of the time there.

My girlfriend went out during the morning and decided to buy dinner for us. She got food from a restaurant called Tea House. She got me beef with barbeque sauce and she got spicy grilled chicken with bbq sauce. She also added fried vegetable lumpia and an ube cake.

The meal that she got me tasted delicious and flavorful. She said that the chicken was kinda dry. As for the Lumpia, I liked the taste. But I loved the Ube cake the most.

She also bought a rack from Shopee so I helped her assemble it. While building it, I thought you should just attach everything until I saw that there were screws. So we had to disassemble it and added the screws. It really looked sturdy. I hope that it would last.

When I got back home, Yoda was in the same place when I left the house. He just looked fierce here.

When I got home, I couldn't use my computer because my brother was there, so I got the sayote and sliced it up to give to my colony of cockroaches. I actually have 3 types Madagascar Hissing Cockroaches, Blatta Lateralis and Dubias. I'm still having a difficult time reproducing the Madagascar Hissers. Unlink the others where their population is exploding. I hope that they'll breed soon.

I was also looking at my colony of ants. I think that they need a rehousing soon.

While I was lying down, Yoda decides to bite my foot, he was also trying to knead it at the same time. I think he was trying to hump me that time. This felt really great because I was able to rest. I hope that you enjoyed your day!
