When I saw the question for this challenge, only one answer came to mind. It's something that perhaps a few of us have taken for granted. I don't think I will stop being thankful for clean drinking water.
Time was when, as we were growing up, when we could just drink water straight from the tap. Of course, Mom was a bit too wary so she would boil us some water to drink. She believed that boiling would at least kill off some of the germs from tap water.
Nowadays, we buy alkaline water to drink from a nearby water refilling station. We still boil water, but only for our hot drinks. Still, having access to clean drinking water is indeed a blessing.
It is no secret that there is a water crisis in the world today. The United Nations even lists it as one of the global issues of our time. Water-related challenges and what is being done about it can be found by clicking on the link.
World Vision lists more about the global water crisis: facts, FAQs, and how to help.
Let us all do our part to make the world a better place for all.
