Introducing Grow&Bow

We had to go so far from home, something like 8800km (from Berlin to Playa del Carmen) to get introduced to this nourishing platform and community.

Mazin’s turn…

Born in Berlin in the last months of the GDR and at a well coincided constellation of the number 8, which is 8.8.88 at 8.40 am. Indigenous Barnim. Named as Mathias and transformed to Mazin.

At the moment, to be more precisely for the past ten years, I've been financing myself and working in heights and depths, or like my mum would say 'risking my life' as a rope access supervisor and climbing arborist. But honestly, I'm proud of being an arborist - or how I like to call it; "tree lawyer".

I study, experiment and observe them to understand their language to protect and help them to grow.
I respect them and I'm grateful for every single old tree-Zeitgeist.

Australia 2019

Even if it's a sporty work it kinda gives me energy for my mind. Because of working for the safety of people and animals. For the longevity of trees. I find it is fantastic work for the soul.
In my eyes, trees are an important connection to our breathing. And beside that, they give us oxygen, they give us shelter, provide us with lots of different resources like food, wood, medicine and only sitting next to an old tree’s soul it is healing.

Further,
I study the big questions of life.
Because remember, a lot of times the question is harder than the answer.
I've always been fascinated by nature and its wonders, the philosophy of nature, the multiverse - which I mean metaphysics -, the human mind and fantasy.
Therfore I chose to immerse myself into the teachings of our elders.
Teachers like Aristoteles, Sadhguru Jaggi Vasudev, Laozi, Bill Mollison and all others. They have been helping me on my path of questioning and the way of living, being a simple and humble being. Give and take in balance. See opportunities to give.

With passion I play music and study the guitar and sitar (to say a couple :P).
Music is my soundtrack of life, the way of my expressions of emotions and it connects me to the frequencies of our spirits.

Lithuania 2021

To keep my body and mind in balance I practise meditation, yoga and Ju Jutsu.
I've been practicing lots of different kind of sports. Martial arts, athletic prowess or another example; I spend some time in a circus association, practised partner acrobatics like AcroYoga and I juggled with clubs and balls. Still doing it from time to time. The way how it feels to manipulate things, no matter whether it's one, five or more, it gives my brain sparkling sensation with a great smile.
I plant happily plans for planting plants with people around the planet.
I startet permaculture, its principles about earth care, people care & fair share, some years ago in Tenerife.
Further in Australia, and its great permaculture communities, taught me a lot more about it.
To me, permaculture philosophy is a must in education. As well as commonweal economy. It has changed my perspective of life and consumption. But I'll deepen into that another time.
In sum; life equal philosophy.
Soon I'll feed you more about my favourite teachers, questions, about permaculture, trees, music and my way of activate body & mind.

I provide all my knowledge and skills to the good.

Here is my lovely Lluna’s turn,

My Mum gave birth to me on a cold evening of January, she looked at me and said to my father: Say hello to our Lluna.

Yep, this is how and when she decided my name. I was born and raised in Barcelona, sometimes in the city, sometimes in the mountains.
I left my hometown when I was 23 and since then I’ve been exploring other countries, dreaming to find a place where to settle.

In my research I grew my knowledge about the connection between tattoos and the effect in our subtle body, how does it affect us as humans to do modifications in our bodies and skin. Because of that I differentiate my manner of working of tattooing from the way that one can normally see at a conventional tattoo studio.

Barcelona 2021

As well, I have developed my artistic skills using many kinds of common techniques such as watercolour, acrylic, gouache, oil, etc.

I love to find time to paint! But in the further stories you will read that I have some relationship of love and struggle with art; but in the end of it all, who doesn’t have it?

Berlin 2021

I am so looking forward to finally raise my voice and share our stories with you!

In common, Mazin and I have some juicy projects together.
One of the projects that we finally put out in Mexico was to losing the fear of playing music for an audience. We are now covering from other bands in our style and making our own music and performing; soon we will start recording it and updating it in YouTube so you can have a taste of it.

We live between Berlin and Barcelona (were we are from) and we also spend a lot of time living abroad.
We are going to start working on a project in a house at a small town next to Girona, Catalunya.
As well as a project where our goal is to bring people together to share their therapies and knowledge at a cost that benefit everyone, the facilitator, the assistant and the space. Also I am excited to share more about this on the next stories.
