A case for coinbase

Love it or hate it, Coinbase is a fixture of the crypto asset world. I highly doubt it's going to go away any time soon.
I came to the platform at the suggestion of a few other crypto bloggers I knew. It was a pain at first, using that website. It took days to fund. At least 24 or more hours for the annoying KYC process. Once all that was out of the way, it's been mostly smooth sailing. Although, the other day I had to revalidate my kyc info, weird.

One thing I love, it just works. I can add funds and exchange them to any other coins in their portfolio. At present, there are some 40 odd coins to play with. Some new to me as well as some that are familiar to most people. Examples of some are Balancer Augur BAND Nu Cypher, as well as BTC LTC ETH UNI.
They allow you to stake and earn interest on several as well.
I currently have a small balance of Tezos and earn a small amount back on it.

I was able to stake some Cosmos ATOM and will earn an estimated 5% on that as well. That one is too new for any results yet.
I won't get rich at this rate. But, as I always say, free is good and any amount earned is better than 0.
I recently saw a discord chat where people were saying people that leave crypto in a wallet are odd. I'd love to know a good alternative to funds just sitting. I am no investor though. So, if you have ideas, please explain it to me like a 5 year old, thank you.
When I logged in the other day, I discovered I had about 14 bucks of BTC (bonus to me!). Sometimes it's good, out of sight, out of mind. Although, with my previous statement, there is probably something better I could be doing with that. At least I'm hodling, right?

Another great thing is the free crypto they offer. Sure, Id never heard of GRT, NuCypher, Celo. I had heard of Comp. I even have some in another wallet(a story for another time).
For about 10 minutes of my time, I earned a combined 21 dollars worth of various coins. I can hold them, or trade to something else like BTC or LTC. For now, I will leave them where they are. I will never complain about free crypto. Even if you don't leave any balance there, sign up and earn some free coinage any way.
