Okay, so that is not the exact phrase. You get the point though, right? There are so many projects and games and whatnot in the ETH world. I think, "wow what a cool game that is." "I want to play" I go through anywhere from 2 to 20 steps. Sign up, conenct a wallet etc etc. Then I see I have to deposit coins. Ok, I get it, there are costs and coders need Monster and Doritos. That's ok and perfectly understandable. Then I see the amount of coins is a little high. Still, it's ok. I have a little bit of ETH to play with, why not?

Full disclosure: this is a screen I saw. It was not for any specific game. Although I have gotten fees of 20 bucks to load up a game. This screen shot was me wanting to buy a little bit of $WLEO today. It's the price of doing business, I suppose. Some of you may be saying, if you don't have the money for gas, don't play. That is a fair point and I hear you. On the other hand, with so much going into Defi and decentralized web apps etc, this will be leaving the bulk of people out in the cold.
I love what the @leofinancne team is doing and I very much want to be a part of it. That's why I've been hodling on so tightly to what $LEO I have staked. I hope with #projectblank, I can do even more things on the blockchain and in turn, help other creatives here.
As I said, I get it, I do. No, really. I'm staking every little bit I can. I was able to send a little bit of Bee to a diesel pool the other day. If it does well, I will send more.
"But Craig" I hear you say, "there are so many cool projects, right here at home on #Hive" You are absolutely right. I am taking advantage of a lot of them. @risingstargame is a great example, as is @splinterlands. Although, I am in no way a good player of that one. Maybe someday... In the meantime, I will support them financially as well as with word of mouth outside of here. That's the key. Even if you don't play the games or use the awesome dapps, but and stake their tokens if they have them. That will lead to even bigger and better things(hopefully).
It's no secret, if you've ever read my other posts. I don't have an over abundance of fiat. I spend/stake as much as I can, when I can. I've used the free crypto I've earned on coinbase to fund hive and in turn, other coins/tokens/communities here. I am a firm believer, if you like something, don't just use it, support it in any way you possibly can. I'm putting my money err crypto where my mouth is.
Maybe the mythical ETH2.0 I keep reading about will solve some of this and make it more accessible to the dirty, unwashed masses? Here's hoping. The faster we can on board people and change their mindset, the faster we can get decentralized web out there, and really, we'll all be better off.
