Movie News: David Fincher to film a French noir comic book [Eng / Ru]

Legendary Hollywood director David Fincher has announced his new film The Killer based on the French noir comic of the same name, and is ready to begin filming in early fall 2021.

It is noteworthy that he hasn't let go of the film rights since 2007 and tried to film it at Paramount Pictures with Brad Pitt in the title role, but, alas, the studio put the project on hold and decided not to rush... Because of the pandemic, they decided to curtail the project, but thanks to Fincher's multi-year contract with Netflix, it is back in active development.

The action of the film will unfold around a hired killer, who over time begins to torment his conscience, and the attempt to quit with the crime leads to a clash with the former, very powerful clients.

And now for the best part. Michael Fassbender is confirmed for the lead role in the movie, and the script is written by Andrew Kevin Walker, a close friend of Fincher's who has worked on the scripts for his best films - "Se7en", "The Game" and "Fight Club".
