HER - Romance/Sci-fi - 2013
One of the few movies which took me through an emotional Roller Coaster ride. Along with good laugh my heart was full of joy and love at the same time also filled up with sadness. My brain all confused , eyes full of tears and the feeling of helplessness. This movie is an incredible package paired with wonderful soothing music.
Cinematography is excellently done in the natural backlights of Shanghai, shown as future technologically advanced Los Angeles with perfect close-ups.
This movie is based on future but best part is it's near future. Most of the futuristic movies are so much advanced that at least I somewhere know that may be it's not possible or if possible that's way too much in the future, by that time I surely will be dead. But near future is smooth, you can relate to it.
Joaquin Phoenix has done a great job(as usual) as Theodore, Amy Adams performance is just as minimalistic as required-not much not less and of course the techy voice of Scarlett Johanson as Samantha, the AI Theodore purchases all together creates this magical journey of "HER"

Well every cloud has a silver lining, likewise the biggest downside of the movie is it's runs in a really slow pace - really slow. And because the female part is basically an AI so it's a bit difficult to picture a woman in your visualization. Mostly it is Theodore talking to its AI, which is very cloning to a human with in fact all the feelings too, just with no body.
A very different kind of movie. One should watch it because it is one of it's type.
