Mr. Verghese Kurien's, the man who steered the Operation White Revolution in India and founded Cooperative Dairy movement with Amul Dairy, birthday is observed as National Milk Day for last 5 years.

This is again to disillusion common man and to glorify the product of cruelty for commercial interest of dairy industry.

In India, traditionally cows are worshiped as mother. So dairy industry was portrayed as it helps the mother cow.

Mr. Kurien knew it very well that dairy industry can't thrive without slaughtering unproductive cows and male calves. In fact, he was a staunch advocate of slaughtering unproductive cattle in the interest of the dairy industry. This fact is often concealed from the general public.

Most importantly, Mr. Verghese Kurien himself was not fond of milk. He never used to drink milk and actually disliked it.

What the hell to declare his birthday as National Milk Day?!!

Actually, the fact is that those were all the dairy majors along with the Indian Dairy Association who resolved to observe Kurien's birthday as National Milk Day. Obviously, it was a strategic commercial decision in the interest of their own business.

We the consumers are just being played as pawns by the capitalists.

Truth is that dairy is an unnecessary violence on innocent beings. It does no good to health, environment and the animals.
