  • you can use all the images here for some posts or whatever you want.
  • I had a lot of fun producing them and it was a good practice.

So here some frames.

  • It is a way to show the creative process behind the images.

The story behind this Images.

As I am in the Civil-Service at the moment (instead of millitary-service) it is the perfect opportunity to collect some goodies from the woods. My work is taking care of the march, so a lot of mohing and handwork as there is no way to drive in there with heavy maschienes.
Todays catch was two kind of minth, which I dry for tea. And as you can see some mushrooms as well. These kind of mushrooms are verry nice for tea as well and so I`m gona dry them as well for that porpouse.
As I placed the mushrooms and the mint on the tabe for sorting and cleaning, I found it photographis and grabed the camera with the 50mm attached.
after a while I switched to the 24-70mm kit lens from canon with f2.8.
I was only having fun with the sceene so no focus stucking today, instead all freehand for some extra fun!

  • A few shots are made with apparture f2.8 and outhers with f16, lets see if you can tell the appart!

Catch of the day!

  • showcase of the wonderfull goods the forest gave us today.

7X8A1526.JPG

The freshest harvest so fare

  • I never found these so fresh, they grew in the past 3 days!

7X8A1530.JPG

Close up beauty!

  • you can see the power these wild plants have!

7X8A1536.JPG

Overallview

  • Quiet happy with the quantity today :)

7X8A1541.JPG

First photocreative sceene!

  • as the taple has a nice light,
  • note it is shot only with the ambient light, no extra photolights used.

7X8A1590.JPG

Love the sceene, so I added my old knife (still in use)

  • just had a grate photorush so I did not worried to much on perfect focus
  • I really like the result, it lives more than a focus stack and that way has a softer mood.

7X8A1627.JPG

f2.8 So hard to focus!

  • here a good example of photographic limits.

The focus area is so small with f2.8 that it is hard to find the wright perspective where all the areas are in focus you want sharp in the image. In the outher way the debth of field is verry small as well, you nitice the minth is verry unsharp, a effect wanted when using a wide apparture. Here is a good example of: I like the shot but probably better with focus stacking and a apparture of about f8.

  • still I like the dreamy feeling of this shot.

7X8A1576.JPG

Old knife with mushroom.

  • here I started to forgett myself, not worring about settings as the conditions where not gone change so fast.
  • lost in reflections you could say hahaha
    7X8A1621.JPG

Taking a dive into the mushrooms!

  • Again, you probbably guessed it, with apperture f2.8 so the dreamy effect.
  • and yess with the 50mm.

7X8A1545.JPG

Colours and smooth roughness.

  • something about this image is somehow verry peacefull to me.

7X8A1601.JPG

Close up perspective!

  • Using the debth of field combind with a suitable perspective
  • I allways love images with enough room for the viewer to ffinish the image in his mind.

7X8A1613.JPG

Details thanks to focus

  • yes you know the drill, handheld with f2.8 1/100s iso6400 ;)

7X8A1552.JPG

Some more dreamy refflections

  • there are never enough refflections!

7X8A1611.JPG

This knife is so practicle!

  • let me tell you, one of the most durable I ever had!
  • focus and perspective again make the settings work here without a focus stacking!

7X8A1628.JPG

Remember how much we harvested!

  • anouther nice transactionshot with a sidewise focus field thanks to the peaspective used.

7X8A1553.JPG

Verry nice example!

  • the tea made from this mushrooms is vitalising and is used in cancer treatment.
  • PS I do not give you any addvice on fungus of and kind, bus a smart book if you want to harvest youre own mushrooms! and let them get testet in a official testingoffice!
  • If youre not 100% shure what youre doing do not consume anything you harvest in the forest!

7X8A1566.JPG

Finaly one of my favorite shots of the evening!

  • Such a nice composition.
  • For me this image just works!

Hahaha thank you so much 🍀 I stardet out with a nikon as well, and sometimes I still pick it up as it is a nice way to "get back to the photographic crative process" and not worrey to much about quality in a technical way.
Saying, picking up a old camera is worth gold and I feel, every photographer shiuld do it from time to time.
And I'm shure you will find something where you can get lost for a little while, taking photos.
All tge best to you 🍀

Glad you like the images 📷
Samrtphones came a long way, specialy the cameras the have, so these days it is so easy and handy with those usefull cameras attached to the phones we carrey every day.

Its handy as they are quickly pulled and ready for action and I love all the options and apps for cool eddits and creative camera tools you have on a smartphone. It is a fun process and allways a good way to improve youre photographic view. 📷
!BEER 🍻 for some good luck 🍀

That is a good point - they really have come a long way. I have a Motorola Power G now and the camera is MUCH better than my last LG one (which wasn't bad for its time). Technology keeps making the cameras better & better so it's pretty nice if you don't have a lot of money for the more expensive camera equipment.

It is great chatting with you & much success to you with your photography! @ph1102 & I have been really enjoying it! :) The world definitely needs more of it. :)

Didn't know there were mushrooms that go with tea. I planted Moroccan mint last year and they go great in tea, but apparently I'm still somewhat an amateur.

Love the random combination of mint, a knife and mushrooms. The colors and different contrasts go well together in the pictures.

Yeah the mushrooms are not tooo tasty, usualy I boil them for about 10 min with the heat set to just before boiling point. Then a add lemonthyme and minth, it mwkes a grate combo and the mushroom taste is not so strong hahaha
The mushroom is called trametes versicolor and is nativ almost everywhere. It is a verry hewlthy one and let me tell you, you feel like hercules after drinking one cup of the awsome tea 🏋⚡⭐🏊🔥

hmm, my best bet would be to find them dried at the local Chinese store. Or maybe research how to grow them. I started alternating between tea and hot coco ever since I halted my coffee addiction, but there is still much to learn.

Here's that !BEER I owe you.

Awsome, going for tea instead of coffee, respect, that is hard, hahaha
I think it is a mushroo that is hard to grow, but grows realy good in the woods, it lives on old fallen trees and the stumbs they leave behind 🍀
There are three kind of mushrooms I geather in the woods and make tea from, it realy is energycing a lot 🔥
Thanky for the !BEER, that was quick 🍻

Lol, whoa. I think I might need to call in "sick" to work with all this beer, so I can secretly oversleep. 😂Thanks!

It's been about two years now since I "quit" coffee. Now I just occasionally drink it when I feel like it. But that need to have it is definitely gone. I'll look into the mushrooms, before I go picking up random ones and end up somewhere unpleasant.

Verry good to hear, it needs healthy thinking when it comes to mushrooms, it can get verry dangeros when you pick the wrong ones. Doing research is allways the best way and there are so many cool books for every knolage level for mushrooms. So reading is a must for a non deadly expirience hahaha,
As it is to late anyways lets have one more !BEER hahaha

Knowledge is power. Do you have any specific online references you use for mushrooms? before I start googling. I love cooking with mushrooms, so mushrooms for tea have peaked my interest now.

Damit, that's a pitty. We have a lot of mushrooms here in switzerland, so many. And there are a lot of official laboritys where you can bring youre find to be checked on, if you want to get 100% shure.

All the best, I hope you can order some for tea, eventualy I feel they are quiet expensive.
