Qurator's Tasty Tuesday #106: Fantastic Pasta for a Chilly Day
While out yesterday finishing up some last-minute Christmas shopping, the temperature dropped about ten degrees after lunchtime.
My knees were the first to alert me to the weather change, reminding me that I didn't wear my knee braces for added protection. Silly me to rush out of the house and forget them.
So, for a chilly day, we decided to stop at our favorite Italian restaurant, Olive Garden, to pick up some of their delicious pasta. And we always purchase a bottle of their in-house signature Italian Dressing for other salads during the week. It's sold at the restaurant. I've also purchased it at specialty stores. It's so delicious, with a rather tart, vinegar flavor.
The price for the past dinner is reasonable for our area, about $30 + tax for two people.
Ordering my favorite soup, the potatoe soup, salad, garlic bread, and Chicken Fettuccini Alfredo, we quickly headed back home, opting for take-out rather than a sit down meal.
Once home through, I didn't feel like eating it until today. Still as delicious as ever. They serve you large portions, so I can never eat it all at one sitting.
I always substitute angel hair pasta. The potatoe soup contains ground beef, spinash, and red potatoes. It warms me up, so I always eat it first.
Thanks for viewing my favorite pasta dish for a chilly day.
Thanks,
@justclickindiva
Happy rest of the week everyone with whatever your endeavors.

I used to eat at Olive Garden a lot, but I haven't been there for a couple of years probably. I've always loved their Pasta E Fagioli soup, and I have to get it every time I go there. I usually get pretty filled up just on that delicious soup, and like you, I have to eat my soup first! :)
Look like deliciussss
It certainly was, but I have to consume smaller portions now and only indulge maybe once a month.
Have a great day, and thanks for stopping by and your support.
Your meal looks yummy. I could go for that! 😊
Making me hungry dear

BTW..I visited your post where you refurbished the garden table. Absolutely beautiful. I left you comment and question.
Oh my, theres nothing like soup, salad and breadsticks @justclickindiva :) I love the pasta fagiole although once or twice a year is my limit, lol Perfect on a cold winter day, yum!!!!
Hi @birdsinparadise. Yep, nothing like it. Soothes the soul. I'm trying out smaller portions now. Need to get me smaller dinner plate sectioned off because I don't like my food to touch each other. Insane right, as though it won't all come together and have a party in my tummy, as the kids cartoons say, lol.
@justclickindiva - I love Olive Garden and their unlimited salads. And the garlic breadsticks are a weakness of mine, so I don't go there often, lol.

hi @blueeyes8960. I see I have a breadsticks soulmates. Any type of bread is my nemisis. It just calls my name and tell me it's bringing a friend, and I'll come.
Have a great day, and thanks for stopping by.
That meal looks absolutely fine and delicious my friend.
Glad that you enjoyed it!
Blessings!
How silly of me thinking that garlic bread was a sausage. I think that is perfect meal right there. Would be great to add a glass of wine to it.
Hi @watersnake. Sounds good if only I could. HBP and Diabetic, so a glass of peach tea fit perfectly.
