Hello everyone, today i will be mostly talking about the brand new token that is being introduced to SPinvest. Please let me introduce to you the SPI royalty token (SPIR). The very first ever Proof of Holding token ever!! Yep, old Mr SP Invest is a visionary and knows something good when he see's it and POH is the way to go.

The reasons to launch the new SPinvest royalty token are many. We now have a token that provides a monthly reward to royalty token holders. This acts as an experiment for future plans of introducing a weekly/monthly dividend payment for regular SPI tokens by using POH (Proof of holding) method. Not sure if i already mentioned this but the SPinvest Royalty token is the first to offer POH in STEEM? We will issue out royalty tokens in small bursts by releasing small amounts for limited times at random times, every 3-18 months which will provide an extra boost of STEEM and growth to the fund. And it's a bit of fun, it gets a few more eyes on SPinvest as there are not too many $20 tokens on Steem engine and we'll issue a few extra SPI tokens every month to boot.

Let's have a look at a few of the key details of the SPinvest Royalty token.

• Each token costs 100 STEEM and is worth 100 SPI tokens
• Each token is issued and traded in whole numbers, no decimals
• Tokens are issued only directly from @spinvest
• SPI tokens can not be directly exchanged for SPinvest Royalty tokens
• No buyback plan in place

• Royalty payments will be made on the 20th of each month
• Royalty payments will be paid in the form of SPI tokens

Going into a little more detail

Let us have a look at some of the key factors as im sure a few will have questions so let me try to pre-answer them for you.

Pricing each token at the cost of 100 STEEM is high but i think an investor that will buy a Royalty token for 50 STEEM will also pay a 100 STEEM. People buy things by quantity not $ amount, meaning that if someone is going to buy 1 they will buy one weather the price is 50 STEEM are 100 STEEM. Not many people think to spend 200-500 STEEM. By selling at a higher price, we can sell fewer tokens but collect more STEEM. The thinking is the tokens are mostly going to be bought by SPinvest club members which is a limited number of people so sell them high is best for us.
Making each SPinvest Royalty token issued and traded in whole numbers only. There is no reason behind this other than it makes the Royalty token something special and limited that cant be broken down into small worthless bits of crypto dust. There will always be a limited amount meaning a limited number of owners, this should create token scarcity and add some value to the token. As there is a small number of Royalty tokens to be issued, SPinvest will only issue tokens directly. After someone buys a Royalty token they are free to sell it on the Steem-engine/ Leo DEX exchanges.
There is no plan to offer an exchange service for SPI tokens to SPinvest Royalty tokens. There is no STEEM growth for SPinvest in that transaction. That might be harsh but if 50 Royalty tokens are issued, that's 5000 STEEM POWER of growth. If an exchange service is offered, it defeats the purpose of selling the Royalty tokens to grow the fund. And no buyback plan from @spinvest will be offered for the Royalty token. With the small numbers in circulation, the resale value will be dictated by buyers and sellers on the exchanges and this is part of the experiment i talked about above. Sorta like using this token as a testing token for future SPI token dividends. We can add a buyback offer easy but it's hard to remove it after it's been added if you get where im coming from.

The SPinvest Royalty token runs on a POH meaning Proof of Holdings model. To break it down further, all you have to do is have the token in your wallet. There's no staking required are input required. SPinvest Royal tokens are the first token to use POH, so i found out after setting everything up with @gerber. You earn a 1% royalty every month for having the tokens in your wallet. Payments are worked out on daily avg holdings and made on the 20th of every month. All payments are made in the form of SPI tokens.

The first batch of SPinvest Royalty token is now on sale. They are limited to either 50 tokens are whatever amount is sold before the 31st of March. Investors can buy SPinvest Royalty tokens from @spinvest and using the memo "Royalty Tokens". Send any amount of STEEM on multiples of 100 and you will receive your tokens within 24 hours but most likely sooner.

SPinvest Royalty tokens will stop being issued on the 31st March are if all 50 Royalty tokens sell out before that date.

Let's have some fun with it

We are basically trying to fund some growth for SPinvest's SP balance while experimenting with paying out monthly royalty/dividend payments to token holders. Everything is automated and has been set up using Leo Services. It cost 250 STEEM but is well worth the cost if we can add 5000 STEEM POWER to the SPinvest wallet balance plus the stuff we can learn from the experience. There are no plans to ever have more than 2 tokens being issued from SPinvest. Any more than 2 is overkill and seems like too many.

If SPI tokens were to pay out a dividend in the future, Royalty tokens would earn a slightly higher amount compared with normal SPI tokens. There might be giveaways of these in special very rare contents, they might trade for more than 100 STEEM on the exchanges, SPinvest might back some back on the sly if they are trading for under 100 STEEM and burn them to limit the supply in circulation even further. There are lots of things to try and ways to go about and like i have said before this is an experiment to test and see how different things work and play out, all good of course :). When it comes time for SPI tokens to pay out dividends, we will be ready and have a solid plan in place. BTW, don't expect that to be happening any time soon are not within 2020 anyways.
