STERLING SILVER MUSTARD POT

I wanted to share another one of my #unstackablestackables. I have here this sweet little mustard pot.

This little guy is only about an inch and a half to two inches tall and wide. It has a scalloped design on it's belly and it's handle reminds me of a little tea pot.

As you can see from this picture, it has a blue glass liner which is nice because you don't have the mustard making a total mess of the silver. I suppose you could also use this for any condiment or even jelly or preserves.

The lid has two hallmarks on it. The walking lion passant indicates Birmingham (English) and the X, best to my ability to match it to anything, seems to indicate the 1940's. If you know differently, please let me know in the comments below.

It even has it's own little sterling silver spoon, including the little ball on the end of the spoon.

The spoon is not the original with this mustard pot. It's hallmarks are also indicating Birmingham, but the lower case 'g' indicates around the early 1900's.

The pot weighs in without the blue insert, at 1.145 Troy Ounces. Another nice way to invest in silver that can be used daily. It's so cute! (sorry, got a little mushy there, lol)
