STERLING SILVER TEA STRAINER SPOON - UNSTACKABLESTACKABLES!
Hello everybody!
It’s time for another addition of my unstackablestackables! A sterling silver tea strainer spoon!
Unfortunately, my research did not bring up any information on the silver hallmarks for this lovely sterling silver tea strainer. It does say ‘Canada’ on the front of it, so I suspect it might have been a souvenir type thing. As you can see from the pictures below, it is marked sterling.
About a year ago, I had a nudging to go to the local Goodwill store and rummage around to see what I could find. This was the result of that trip. The folks at Goodwill are much better at finding the sterling than they used to be, but every now and again, something slips past them.
I hope you enjoyed this little piece of silver. All of it adds to my unstackablestackables!
Thanks for stopping by and please leave your comments below. Have a wonderful day/evening!

Thanks!!
Neat piece, in any case! I think since "silver is silver" it's more fun to collect vintage and antique items with some "character!"

Thank you so much!
I use silver spoons all the time as they are healthy to use for eating, the hallmarks are a little unclear from the pic but a lot of sterling was exported from England in the early 1900s to the Americas
They were unclear; it was difficult to photograph for some reason. I used a paramag to view them and even then, I had trouble. We determined it appeared to be the letters DJ and then there was a castle for the other hallmark. I tried researching but could find nothing that matched. Thanks for commenting and have a wonderful evening!
