It's safe to say that it's been a very good day.

Lately I have been able to find time for my poker career, and it's been a pleasure. As I've mentioned previously, I've been grinding on PokerStars for more than 7 years, but even though I've been quite profitable from the very start, I always had to make time for my studies and work. ''Easy'' money is cool, but I love science.

Now, recently I decided to get back to my old ways, so I started grinding full time again (as a side hustle) a couple of weeks ago. Been making a good profit every day since then, but today was my biggest win after I started practicing my poker sorcery again. Feels really good.

So this is what things looked like after 6 hours and 25 minutes of play. A solid stack and plenty of time to wait for some monster hands and cool ladders.

Thirty minutes later my lead was even more solid, and I was just being patient and waiting for that opportunity to stack up. Playing tourneys with 2K+ entries can be very tiring, and once you've reached this point in the game you definitely DON'T want to go home yet.

Kicking out thousands of folks translates into 2x - 5x your investment, but then adding a few more to your cart changes everything drastically. At this point, ladders cost hundreds of dollars. Keep in mind that I only invested $3.30 in this tourney.

It's all good!

Almost half an hour later I look better than ever, and I've managed to establish myself in this table. Dudes now know I'm not joking around with numbers, and every action take is respected by my opponents. Patience is key at this point; let them kill each other and grab those sweet ladders with zero risk. That's what I decided to do.

I'm still going.

One more hour has passed, and I've already claimed some more sweet ladders. At this point, I am going home with at least 319 US dollars, which translates into approximately 100x of my initial investment. Not bad, not bad. But I'm getting greedy. I want more. I want it all. These lads are not better than me.

That's what I keep saying to myself. Poker is such a complicated game, and having a really strong mental game is essential if you want to be successful. I guess this applies to pretty much everything in life, especially when it comes to competition. No champion ever doubted themselves. You need to believe you can do it before you will actually be able to manifest your goals.

Level up your mental game and you will witness those changes you desire in your life.

So this is it.

After waiting for long to get dealt something good, I had to go all in with K6 offsuit and 8BBs. Got called with A4 and kicked out after an ace appeared on the flop. I'm good, third place rocks, plus I made around 150 times what I invested in this tournament. That's a multiplier I'd get and walk away a happy man any day.

Of course, I'm pissed I couldn't make it to the top. I beat more than 2K people and made 3,016.73 STEEM, and then two more (ONLY FUCKING TWO MORE) would mean another 484 US dollars for the legend. But no, I'm not pissed.

Actually I'm happy. I do realize that this is poker, and I always keep in mind that I could have just been left behind and kicked out before making it in the money. I'm good with what I made.
