House Crow - Birding / Wildlife
The house crow is a resident bird of Asia and is commonly found all over Pakistan. They are mostly found in urban areas where they easily find food. Crows are very opportunist birds and they know every trick to survive in a harsh environment. The house crow's colour is glossy black and lighter grey-brown and the wings, tail and legs are black.
These crows are omnivores and feed on everything. Mainly the decline of vulture in urban areas has increased the population of crows and black kites. These birds are doing the job of vultures and feed on the dead. The other problem is that these birds don't tolerate other bird's presence. So they are a threat to local and migratory birds.
House crows are brave birds. They even fight with raptors found in their territory. As crows don't have any threat so they have a large population. They live in large colonies.
