Support or Lack Of It? .:. Expectations vs Reality
No, I will not whine about the lack of support in this blog post... No worries... :) I will try to keep it negatively-positive... Something like that exists?... lol...
Created in Canva.com
When I was a child, I liked to read... and I was reading a lot... One of my favorite sayings was (translated to English) In trouble, you know a hero, and I didn't know back then what does that mean actually... I mean, in the real-life... Until I was in a trouble... I wasn't a trouble maker in my childhood, but, like every kid, you have to get into some eventually... Kids can be cruel, and kids always point out if someone is different... Of course, negatively... It can be the color of your skin, your dressing style, your nationality, your financial status, etc... I was "lucky" to be in more of these (and probably some other) groups, so I didn't have hundreds of "friends" (or so-called friends), but rather just a couple... but they weren't "so-called" friends... And they stood behind me, and I stood behind them...
You don't have to ask your friend for support, you get it in advance, for free... Without saying a word...
Later in my business life, there were some tough situations, but somehow I didn't have the lack of support... I was doing my job fair and honest, and people have recognized that... Good people, bad people, it doesn't matter... People do respect when you are honest, do your job, and help others that are in need... Sometimes, I would hear about some 3rd party that one of my clients was backed me up in front of a potential attack...
Oh, believe me, when you are in a business, you will get attacked in different ways... I suppose that you can compare that with Bitcoin... Everyone is attacking something that is fair, revolutionary because it is a thorn in the side of many...
Also, I didn't have too much support from my parents in things that I wanted to do... But that part you probably understand very well... How did your parents/friends reacted when you said that you have bought some cryptocurrency? :) :)
There is one big bad side of support... And that is OUR expectation of getting it from our environment... We expect that people will understand what we want to do, what we have in our mind, the vision, the potential... But, we forget that others aren't like us... Every single person is unique and that is the beauty of this world in which we live... Maybe we will not get support from our parents, or our old friends, but somewhere out there, some people think similar to you, and they will come into your life... If you let them in...
Did all this stop me, or demotivated me to move along? Maybe it shook me up, but it didn't stop me at all... Just the opposite, it gave me even more strength to push harder to achieve my goals... Gave me the power that I didn't even know that exists in me... Maybe it is just a kind of stubbornness or spite (if that is the proper English word), that I CAN DO IT, despite all odds... It's not even proving to others that I can, but proving to myself that I can...
In the end, I would like to say thanks to everyone who supported me on this blockchain in some of my crazy ideas that I had, that I have, and that I will have in the future... I got great support when I started to write blog posts, when I have recorded my first vlog, when I join different initiatives, and when I entered this crazy Hive-Engine witness program... I hope that I had (and will) give you at least double in return!
Thank you for your valuable time,

I am appreciative of the things that you are doing that reach my radar. I think you are headed in a good direction. You have my support and encouragement.
Thanks for the support! I see that you are a newbie here on the chain, but I also see that your first post was about engagement! This is super-important here, so you are doing a great start!
Create daily posts and engage with a couple of people every day, and rewards will come... and new friends will come, too!

tokens.Emotional post, Zoltan! I wanted to help you the minute I saw your name on the witness list, but unfortunately I had no WorkerBees and the few that I would be able to purchase wouldn't really make a difference on the grand scheme of things.
Unlike Hive, where the governance token is the same as the token that unlocks your account useability on the blockchain, this is different. It will be more difficult to rank up through small votes, because there are much less small votes.
I believe that means there will be more mutual understandings and negotiations than on the main chain. Maybe I'm wrong...
Well, the post was inspired by things involved with witness stuff, but I also wanted to share some of the events from my personal history... I didn't go to details, but at a certain moment, it was kind of big trouble... lol... But, in most cases, I rarely asked for favors, or in this case votes... It usually came on its own, as I said in the post... So, this is a bit different for me, but no worries... I will do the slow and steady approach... I can be patient.. :)
And I do agree about the small votes and that you said... That's why I have started that idea of WORKERBEE Pool where I will share BEE rewards with my delegators...
Also, I will add a bit of incentive for people to be involved more... It's just another experiment that can maybe lead to something bigger... I will see how it goes after a couple of weeks... ;)
Btw. if Aggroed does what he has planned to do, I think that WORKERBEE and BEE tokens can multiply their value easily... But, that is still just speculation... ;)
Thanks for your support!

Yes, I've seen your proposal about workerbee p(h)ool. It is a cool incentive, but in the end I still think you'll have to convince a few with many WB.
I bought 5 WB staked it and delegated it to you. I told you it's gonna be a few...
hehehe... Yeah, I'm aware of the Gods of Hive and how it goes with voting each other... As I said, it's not the end of the world if I don't make it into the Top 10... I still contribute with my node, and that's a positive side :)
Thanks for the support and delegation... Appreciate it.. ;)

tokens. There was this guy (who ???) who gave me a kick when I needed it to motivate myself to get in front of the camera to make videos. I'm really greatful about that because I really enjoy myself doing videos this way.
It was great to have somebody helping you, without being asked and I believe when you live through such things, you just want to help other people as well. Once we get into this mindest and we don't hesitate to support our friends... then we all win...
Hahaha... You are welcome... I think that @pixiepost and @flaxz helped me a lot when I was starting, so I have just done the same with you... lol... And a couple of others... And I'm still doing... The next person on the list for vlogging is @tanjakolader... :) So, check her blogs and push her over the edge... :P
And I completely agree about supporting each other... It's just a mindset... ;)
Cheers!

👍🥳
😅
But indeed, it's because of people like you and others (won't mention names in case I forget some 🙈) that I have felt welcomed in this community and we're all learning a lot from each other, which is a plus I made the decision to be on this platform 😊
Regarding your message; I can't believe I've missed it 🤦♀
Anyway, it all seems so relatable. Haven't told my parents (yet) about this journey, because I don't know if they'll understand. But that's ok. I've done a lot in my life, which my parents may not agree with 😅
But in the end they understand that as long as I'm ok and happy, that's alright. And living life should not have to be as what we were "programmed" to live it. Everyone's journey is different and unique and that's what makes it beautiful.
hehehe... Well, I did the same... My mother knows about Bitcoin a bit, and that's it... lol... Tbh., I don't want to bother explaining to them... Bad son! :) Nothing would change, except that they would be even more worried... lol...
So, as you said... Everyone has their own way... It's all good until I ask for money from my parents... If that happens, everything collapse... :)
Oh yes... When can we expect that first vlog? :)
!ENGAGE 10
Haven't started yet 🙈, but soon hopefully.
Aahahaha indeed, they've done enough for us so we can be independent, so don't dare asking them for money.
Yeah, my mom does know a few basic things of crypto as she has a finance background, but she didn't do research into it. I shouldn't even start trying to explain how the blockchain works in a way they would understand 😅
Way too difficult.

tokens. What a heartwarming post, Zoltan! :) It has been such an honor seeing you grow into an even better version of yourself in our HIVE journeys (even though you were pretty awesome to start with ;) )....I remember when #2020Vision & #IAAC brought us together & we have been unstoppable ever since....
THIS. I cannot emphasis how true this statement is. It really is that way. Like you, I didn't have tons of close, trusted friends when I grew up & was going through the "pains" of life. Even though I was a social person & had a lot of acquaintances, I only had a few true friends. But I realized the quantity of friends wasn't important, it was the quality... :)
And you hit it on the head when you said that you will meet like minded people along the way in your life path. I learned this as I got older that when you aren't afraid to be your true authentic self, your energy will attract your tribe. That has been more & more evident in my own life! :) My parents are indifferent to my crypto journey but I don't need justification from anyone outside...it's my own opinion of myself that matters...
Looking forward to seeing where your journey takes you as we keep growing on the HIVE blockchain...thank YOU for being MY friend (besties for life!) & helping me grow as well. :) 💜

It sounds corny, but it is like that indeed! Less is more, and more is less... :) hehehe...
and this is another big truth... It flattered me when someone said in my comments that I'm saying what I have on my mind... and that is exactly what did you just wrote there... As we are getting older, it looks that we care less about "what will others say", and that gives us the freedom to be truly ourselves... Maybe that will not be what others will expect, but it is the naked truth!
Thanks for your awesome comment... It made me think about the importance to be authentic...

tokens. How did your parents/friends reacted when you said that you have bought some cryptocurrency? My Mother thinks I have gotten myself into a scam. And my neighbor thinks that Bitcoin and Crypto are all bad. So i just keep things to myself and just do what I want with my money. Thanks for the post, I am thankful that we are all different that is what makes us all unique in our own way.
Hehehe... I know that my crypto story isn't far away from others... These reactions are probably 95% that we all got when we just talk about crypto... lol...
Thanks for the comment!

tokens. That was very motivating Zoltan, and I can totally relate to getting more motivated when people say I can't do it, by the way I will vote on your HE witness as soon as I get some workerbee, keep up your great work.
Thanks a lot for your support and kind words, Erik! You have done an immense job for the CTP SWARM and all Hive community with your challenges! IAAC moved so many people from the passive (watcher) state to the ACTION state...
Thank you for all that you are doing!

And the same to you Zoltan, thanks for all that you do for Hive and CTPtalk, stay awesome.

tokens.A few good friends growing was was better than the masses of BS friends.
Same hold true in the current online business world.
I would rather be involved with a few like minded individuals as we are each working to our own goals
than the vast number a naysers who complain, judge and critizise.
Or even worse the slimmy sales people herding folks from one opportunity to another
I find your work here on this blockchain impressive & refreshing
(that walking & shooting video still amazes me)
You are positive, informative and very helpful to everyone.
I have benefited from your work, so thank you for it.
Thank you man for your kind words... They really touched me...
I remember that we started on the bad foot, but I did it for your own good, and I'm glad that you accepted that and understood it in the right way!
Oh, and regarding the rest that you said, I can't agree more... A lot of whining, judging, playing dirty, but not a lot of action... and about salespeople throwing others from here to there every day, don't want to even talk about... The main problem isn't that they want others to lure in gazillion things, the problem is that they aren't focused... And that makes a lot of damage to all people involved... Without focus, no happiness, no money, no healthy atmosphere... ;)
Keep on building and wish you all the best!
