RE: Batten down the hatches... Here comes Typhoon Nanmadol!

I always have the curiosity, when I have the chance, to check the Hurricane follower feature on windy.com and that typhoon popped up right away!

It's scary when those things are passing right above the land.
Not so long ago we had Danielle and she already made a little mess and she was mostly in the ocean!
Fortunately or unfortunately, Japan has a lot of protocols/safety measures to follow for those kinds of situations.

Good to know that your daughter is safe :)
Enjoy the beer and stay safe!

It's all gone quiet for a while, just the patter of rain and some gusting wind at the moment, so a nice lull before things go crazy...

I checked out Hurricane Danielle. Do you get any hurricanes directly hitting you or do they tend to stay out in the ocean?

Fortunately the ones we had so far are away in the ocean.

Here in the island we normally get residuals from the USA but nothing major, just a stronger wind than normal. What we get more as well is hot wind from the African desert lol

Azores are more likely to have natural disasters due to their triple junction of tectonic plates, and they were more near to Danielle than us but I believe it was nothing serious.

That's good. Typhoons don't usually pass directly over Hiroshima, and this one has veered away and has now gone past somewhere between here and the Japan Sea coastline.
