Hello everybody and the cinnamon-cup coffee community, I always hope we are in good shape and healthy. So that there are no obstacles to enjoy a cup of coffee there are no obstacles that limit because if we are suffering from heartburn will be difficult to enjoy a cup of coffee.

The development of the way people drinking coffee can not be separated by the influence of cultural and social society. A variety of tools coffee makers that exist in the world have distinctive characteristics and uniqueness each. I never discuss how the process of brewing method V60 in posting some time ago. This time I will discuss how to brew coffee with a Moka pot.

Moka Pot

Moka pot is one of the toolmakers, manual coffee that has a long history. When coffee starts to become export products number one in Europe in the 18th century and 19th in many European countries began to think of a way to enjoy a cup of coffee, one of which is a Moka pot. Moka pot by an Italian citizen named Alfonso Bialetti, created a design tool for brewed coffee that can be used above the stove. For those of you who like to buy the tools coffee, the name of the Bialetti is certainly not foreign to you. Brand Bialetti still exists until now and the product Moka pot product is one of the Moka pots the best.

How to brew a Moka pot is easy, I recommend for you who like to drink coffee have this tool in your home kitchen.

Step to Make Coffee with Moka Pot

The tools that I need to make coffee with a Moka Pot :

  • Moka Pot size 300 ml
  • Roasted bean coffee (I use coffee beans of Arabica Gayo-English)
  • Coffee Grinder
  • Kettle Goose Neck
  • Portable stove

The first step is to grind the coffee that will be used. I always use roasted bean coffee instead of instant coffee. The weight of the coffee used is 18 grams for size 300ml water. Coffee beans are ground coffee with a size more delicate than the size of the drip coffee.

The second step is to separate the partitions of the Moka pot. Moka pot is composed of 3 parts, the first part is the top of the results extraction coffee that is produced, the middle part of the funnel-shaped is a place to put the coffee powder. The bottom of the used functions as a place of water. When the water starts to be heated, then the water in the bottom of the container will be toward the gap that we fill coffee powder.

The third step is to fill the bottom of the Moka pot with hot water. Although the process of Moka pot using the process of heating on the stove, it is recommended to directly use hot water, in addition to speeding up the process of the extraction of the coffee also avoid the taste burnt which appears due to the Moka pot which is heated too long.

The fourth step, the contents of the part Moka pot coffee that we already milled and not pressed enough leveled course. If the coffee is milled too smooth it can result in over-extraction of coffee to make coffee so very bitter.

The fifth step, re-attach the top Moka pot and put it up on the stove. Tips from me, when brewing coffee with a Moka pot we need to focus attention on the process because I had a bad experience when viewing a Moka pot explode in one of the coffee shops in my city. As it turns out when heating Moka pots she went to the bathroom and forgot to the back end of the container Moka pot is getting too hot and catapulted to the top.

The last, when Moka pot sounds like the sound of boiling water, immediately stop and turn off the burner, and wait a few moments before it is poured into a glass.

A cup of black coffee is ready to serve. The coffee served by the Moka pot can vary depending on the type of coffee used, the size of coffee grounds, or others. Because coffee is a journey. So we are the ones who determine where this is going..
