Finally It is Open

We all know how hard this Covid Pandemic hits all sectors of lives and economies all over the world. But places who entirely dependent on the tourism industry might very much felt a bigger impact, as the travel restrictions and social distancing rules are in place.

Bali is one of that places hit hard by the pandemic. This tiny island is one of the main tourist attractions in Indonesia has to endure two years without tourists thus making the economies still stagnant or even slowed down.

The Ngurah Rai International Airport has been closed since the covid outbreaks hit the island, which means it is harder for tourists to come to Bali. The only things that kept hotels and villas stay in operations in the domestic tourist who mainly comes from Jakarta. Or those accommodations are still open because the owner wants the staff to maintain the property, if not, most of them will totally shut down.

But the wind has changed directions, the government will open the International Airport on the 14th October 2021, with only accepting visitors from a few countries only. Surprisingly China is on the list, the first country reporting the outbreak. Alongside New Zealand which manages to keep the covid at bay.

The first plan is to open the whole island for tourism, then if the covid case rises after the opening of the International Airport and the influx of foreign visitors, the area will be reduced with only a few popular destinations only.
Will it really bring more tourists coming to the island, and how will the tourism industry rise up again after the outbreak, only time will tell how things a re going down.
