People, myself included, have preconceived ideas that make us write interfaces which can be non intuitive for some without realizing it.
Does the downvote symbol look like something positive somehow?
Critically speaking, it depends on your perspective per time. If the post is worth upvotes then it should not be down voted. That's what I think.
No, my question would have been better stated as "did the '(v)' look like a positive vote to you?" If so, why? I am curious.
