RE: Happy not mothers day

No. I don't think you would be misunderstood for your statements. It is very easy to see the effects of consumerism on holidays like Mother's Day. People expect to receive something for the designated special event. Commercials prompt you to ready yourself for the day by kindly suggesting things you could buy for your mother. I get the importance of making someone feel special and appreciated. There's no need to restrict it to one day for the purpose of a profit.

Thank you and it is really encouraging to find quite similar thoughts, this reinforces my theory that more and more of us are waking up from the matrix and not only open our eyes but also promote and duplicate what we have learned to provide our surroundings close to or behind a computer the opportunity to join this movement!

Mind you, however, I did not realize this until I got married. Before my marriage, I thought of them as constant friendly reminders that I needed to acknowledge the importance of people. Once I had to support, unfortunately, my eyes became wide open.

It's as if the wool was cast over my eyes and now it was dispelled. I have to write to you that it wasn't a comfortable feeling. I married late into my early 40s.

wow well the important thing about all this is that I found love, and also managed to open my eyes, two aspects of vital importance for a life with purpose!

Now, don't take this the wrong way, but I feel that falling in love and getting married was an extreme event. It certainly doesn't feel that way and didn't at the time. I consider it extreme because the event and the discovered responsibilities were great enough to jar me from the cycle of normality I'd always found myself attached. Yeah, the points you mentioned are certainly important to having a purpose.
