Yup. I remember when I had 60 SP and REALLY REALLY wanted to reach 500. It was like a dream to get there. Now I have 3200, and it didn't take as much "work" as I thought it would. Sure. I bought in at 87 cents, 78 cents, 50 cents, etc etc. But I have also bought in at 13 cents and KNOW that it is my best investment. I also like watching my SP grow with my blogging and my token holdings seem like lots of little lottery tickets, all waiting for their day to shine.
